We love Avonmore, situated opposite a lovely little park, the elegance and history of Avonmore is beautiful, we now stay there all the time and we are given the same room, which we love. The rooms are pristine, and the beds heaven. It is situated perfectly 20mins from Circular Quay and Randwick has great eating places. We are always greeted... More

Rooms have lovely decor. The garden room we were in was a bit too small. ( 2,adults ) We updated to family room which was huge and lovely. Beds comfortable. Small park opposite plus Randwick Presbyterian church opposite park is a lovely friendless welcoming church with Bible based teaching. Buses and shops nearby, and yummy lamb shank takeaway in the... My first experience at a boutique hotel and I think I'll be doing it more often, such character and charm, everywhere I looked I smiled! the check in and check out were painless and quick, the staff were helpful and polite, the room was gorgeous, either very recently renovated or kept in pristine condition, couldn't fault the cleanliness, price or... I loooove this place. It has such a homely feel to it with oodles of character. It is so well maintained and totally spotless - you could eat your dinner off the bathroom floor. The bed and pillows were divine which is such a necessity. The location is wonderful - opposite the park with a leafy outlook and in a... More

A lovely heritage hotel, converted from colonial house. Room was clean and well maintained - inc TV and limited free wifi. Limited options for in room snacks but didnt bother me - excellent location near shops, cafes and restaurants. Room was of 'old style' floral decor (I was in a heritage room up top) - another reviewer used the term... More

I only stayed for one night and wish I could have stayed longer. I chose this place due to its convenient location to my conference the next morning. This place didn't disappoint. I stayed in the luxury queen balcony room and it was fantastic. Beautifully appointed rooms, and very quiet. The bed was very comfortable, I only woke due to... More

Wanting a hotel in this precise location, there were few choices and the Avonmore is well located and the rooms very nice. However, in my mid sixties and with a post operative knee, I wish I had known that there was no lift to our second floor room, or that the rather unhelpful desk clerk might have assisted. He was... Thank you for your review, John Nicolson, we welcome all feedback both positive and negative. Our hotel is a Heritage Building, as one could readily perceive by looking at the Website, and a quick to call to Reception prior to staying would have been suffice enough to ascertain whether a Ground Floor Room would have been more suitable to yourself... Should not be listed under B&B, that having been said this hotel is a reasonable choice for an overnight stay. It has a certain charm, being a converted manor, clean and attractive, opposite park. The room was quite small though, the TV is housed in the wardrobe, the shower however, is a good size. Felt that it was overpriced though,... More

We find Avonmore on the Park Hotel is so conveniently located to access the Sydney CBD as well as the Inglis Horse sales complex and Randwick. It is a beautiful building and well maintained with a homely atmosphere. We enjoy staying there and being able to take public transport or walk to our destination if we choose to.

Found Avonmore on the Park to be in a very convenient place close to Ranwick Race Course for our visit for the Championships. Lovely park opposite, quiet and close to the Town and we were recommended to visit restaurant Isabella's and found it it be close by and great food. The accommodation in the vintage section gave us lots of... More
