Beautiful bushland setting and well landscaped tourist park. Caravan site was large enough and offered more privacy than expected. Bathroom amenities a bit dated but we walked further to A2 (behind reception block) where the facilities were more modern and offered glass sliding doors on the shower rather than nothing at all. Also used camp kitchen (one of many) to... More

Possums, scrub turkeys and many other bird species makes you forget you are in the middle of Sydney. Campsites are understandably small and shade is limited. Amenities are clean and well placed. Expected to see the river running past the camp but it was either dry or further down the walking tracks. Not sure whether the park has a pool... More

This was the first stop on our quick camper van tour from Sydney down to Melbourne. I must say I was a little apprehensive about booking a National Park site as in the UK that can sometimes mean substandard facilities, but I needn't have worried! Upon arrival the staff at reception were efficient and helpful. They provided us with maps... More

Stayed on a powered Caravan Site. We have previously stayed here in cabins and a powered site. Park is close to North Ryde Train station (walking distance). Even tho you are near Sydney you wouldn't know it as it feels as tho you are camping in a National Park in the Country. Friendly staff. Some Ammenities Blocks are slightly better... More

easy walk to the Epping railway station for a short trip into the city. Good sized sites, clean amenities, friendly staff, paid wifi available reception a bit dodgy though. Well priced and seniors discount. Have stayed before and will stay again 😀

Lane Cove River Tourist Park is located about 10km from Sydney's CBD. Despite this, it's situation in Lane Cove National Park; in a pocket of bushland above the river, gives the feel of being in the middle of nowhere. A big advantage of a stay here is the quick access to the city sights and facilities without the need do... More

Hi, Thanks for the great review, we couldn't agree more. This is a good place to chill, and enjoy the best of both worlds - nature in the National Park or pop on a train and explore Sydney. We hope you visit again some day. :) More

We stayed here for two nights when competing in a sailing regatta. No other accommodation in Sydney is this easy when you have a boat in tow! The cabin was clean, well appointed and spacious. What a great shower ( water saving head not installed so had a blast from the past with good water pressure). Sleep quality could have... More

Wonderful spot in the national park. Cabin was 2 bedrooms and adequate for 4 adults but probably not 5. However excellent for 5 if children. Position can't be beaten, so close to public transport and easy to find just off main roads. Hard to believe you are in the middle of a big city with brush turkeys and possums as... More

Hi, We are glad you enjoyed your stay. Yes the planes can be a drawback - it's the cost of being situated so close to the city, though the flight paths do alternate. Kind regards, Lane Cove River Tourist Park More

We chose this campground for our van simply because it was the only one in Sydney. The lady on reception was very helpful, giving us advice on how to get in and out of Sydney. Great spot, got facilities. Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed in a 2 room, not bad for a short stay for the price, to experience the great cabins. It had everything you could think of, and well maintained/clean, with each cabin having its own name. Fantastic vibe and surrounded by bushland and wildlife. Highly recommend for 2-4 people.
