Hotel is set in the beautiful grounds of the School of Management overlooking a lake. Rooms are lovely though the bathrooms are quite small. The balcony was very dirty and the awning needs to be replaced to deter the birds ,whose droppings made the balcony unuseable.Reception staff were excellent, there is complimentary tea and coffee in the lounge and the... This is not your conventional hotel chain style accommodation. It is part of Macquarie University's Graduate School of Management. However, the standard of furniture and fittings is high and the level of comfort is excellent. I stayed here for 2 nights while a family member was in the nearby hospital. It was perfect for me - easy walking access to... More

The room was spacious, well furnished and had a nice view. The bathroom was clean and functional. Wifi was operational with good coverage. The place itself is very quiet and parking is convenient. Unfortunately the TV in my room was not working properly as it only showed 4 channels and nothing was done to address the issue. No explanation was... More

Okay....let's start with the positives.....the room size is ample and the furnishing good, and adequate toiletries. If you are doing a university course at MGSM, it is probably very convenient venue. But definitely I would not recommend it to others, especially with the price tag. First, sign posting is poor if you are arriving at night, it was very dark.....the... More

This hotel is a little dated and shows it with the size of the bathroom amongst other things. The bathroom is so small that the shower door cannot be opened fully. It hits the toilet. The security card for the room had a sticker with room number on it which makes me think that the rooms aren't as secure as... More

I didn't realize until we pulled up that this hotel is on a university campus. It wasn't loud or anything, but the layout was a little confusing. We stayed here two nights while visiting Sydney (it was the closest affordable and decently-rated hotel we could find). When I arrived I walked to the front desk only to find it was... More

I stayed at MGSM for a week in March 2015. The room was modern, clean, and relatively spacious. I wasn't initially a fan of the motel style external corridors but the room still felt safe and secure. The tranquil view of the lake and university grounds were relaxing although the five minute trek to the carpark was somewhat annoying. All... More

With Chinese New Year Sydney was short on accommodation so I stayed out here for a change. The room was really quite good. Very clean and comfortable. It's been a big week so I hoped to sleep til 8, but before 7 the whipper snippet, blower and lawnmowers started outside my room. When I check out the guy on reception... More

I stayed here overnight for a family gathering. The lobby feel like a high school or library but the rooms themselves are quite nicely decorated. The grounds had beautiful views outside the big glass doors. I paid $120 on a Saturday night which I felt was a great price for the location. There is a little gym with some basic... More

We were enroute to Forster and passing through Sydney. It was still Christmas holidays so there were no conferences happening and we had the place to ourselves. The room was on the compact side but it was nicely decorated and comfortable. Bathroom was well lit but small for 2 people; nice shower though. We had a balcony with a lovely... More
