I wish I could give this hotel a higher review as the place has lots of character and the rooms have everything you need and are spotless, staff are very friendly and helpful but nowhere to be seen after 4:30pm so if you need to use the iron there is no one there to get the laundry room key from.... My sister and I stayed at The Metropole Guesthouse together when visiting. We decided to go with it because it was affordable. We got a great rate and that really influenced our decision to stay at The Metropole Guesthouse. We loved the 1930's style of the rooms and the hotel. It had a vintage feel to it that we couldn't... We had a great stay. They are heritage listed and do not have aircon, but have beautiful large fans. The painting of each room is fantastic. The furniture in the library, lounge and meeting room is period furniture with attention to detail. The full cooked brekkie was a delight. Hotel so well located near railway, the hop-on hop-off tour bus,... More

If you are visiting the amazing Blue Mountains, Katoomba is one of the most convenient towns for seeing the Three Sisters. The Metropole Hotel is a typical 100 year old hotel that has been renovated into a really nice comfortable hotel. We upgraded from a standard to deluxe room and had ample space in this, including a nice lounge area.... More

I booked for an overnight stay in a double bedroom via the Metropole Guesthouse website; my partner and I were there to go to an art film screening that one of my friend's had an entry in. Blue Mountains have a great arts scene, venu was only a 5 min walk to get to from the Guesthouse. We had to... More

The room was really clean and fairly good sized and since I was there for a few days for a work trip I took advantage of the 3-day package to save money. I didn't have one single bit of a bad experience while I was there, everything was wonderful. The staff was wonderfully friendly and pleasant, and it seemed like... More

Have to say I was less than impressed. The room we were in had a piece cut out of the bathroom door because the toilet was positioned too close to the door and you wouldn't be able to open the door otherwise. (we took plenty on pictures for facebook and got plenty of laughs) On top of that the floor... More

I stayed in a single room (number 24, I think) for one night before walking the 6 Foot Track. At $62.50, booked on Agoda, it was way nicer than anticipated. Very clean and comfy; and "cosy", of course. I declined the offer of dinner at $29, purely because it was at 6pm and a bit early for me. When I... More

we stayed at metropole with the 3day package to get some days off our hiking trip. the best, it included a three-day pass for the blue mountains explorer bus. it's a nice house with old world charm, right at the town center near the train station. was a great time, really helpful staff, room fitted our needs and we had... Despite its age the hotel has a charm about it. It is clean and King room was reasonable size. Bed was soso but pillows were very hard. It is close to restaurants and local shops. staff were polite and helpful. The lounge is a great spot to relax. Best for short stay. Parking is limited so tip is to leave... More
