My mum and I stayed at the guest house for 2 nights. The guest house is beautiful with old school charm and the owners made us feel at easy. The afternoon tea is a great addition and my mum and I sat in the breakfast area playing cards in the afternoon and evenings we felt that relaxed and welcome. The... More

The house is just beautiful and we had a warm friendly welcome. Our room was beautifully set out and so comfortable. Extra special touches like complimentary port and chocolates in the room make it so homely. Fluffy towels, face wipes and natural soap/shampoo are much appreciated details. Lovely array of tea and coffee available all the time, plus cake and... More

Quaint property originally built in 1902 (according to the website) situated not too far from many restaurants and shops. Lovely period furniture and decorations. Free afternoon tea and continental breakfast included. These are the pros. The cons are part and parcel of the historic building. It is old in a pleasant kind of way but you do feel like you... Upon crunch of the car tyres on the gravel drive, we were whisked away in a whirlwind of charm and pure historic beauty. We were warmly welcomed by the owners, who took the time to show us around the beautiful house. Luckily we were just in time for afternoon tea, which included a range of 40 different teas and freshly... More

I absolutely felt in love with the house. We had a small but yet very cozy room. Ian welcomed us extremely well and made us feel at home immediately. I was very impressed with some of the house/room details like: - house & room cleanliness was excellent - the towels were incredibly soft and clean - the bathroom mat had... More

We recently took a four day break at Kurrara Guest House, and from the moment we arrived, we were entranced by the beautiful old house, the charming hosts, the faultless hospitality and the wonderful accommodation. Nothing was too much trouble for Evelyn and Iain, the breakfast buffet really hit the spot, and the two guest sitting rooms were an added... More

From the moment we entered Kurrara we felt welcomed and relaxed. Evelyn and Iain are superb hosts who are passionate about Kurrara and Katoomba offering much assistance about local restaurants and attractions. The peaceful atmosphere with the many additional ‘treats’ and quality breakfast make Kurrara stand out from the rest. This is a very special guest-house that has attention to... More

There's nothing like taking a small trip to the Blue Mountains and feeling so welcome by the lovely staff. This place felt like a home with it's rustic, vintage decor, and locally grown food provided for us for brekkie. You know you'll be recommending a place to others when you don't want to leave. Great experience, fantastic service!

This is my second time staying at Kurrara and frankly, I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else in the mountains. We stayed in one of the upstairs rooms, the Margeurite, and it was just perfect. The queen bed was very comfortable and beautifully furnished. I've seen some of the other rooms and they're all gorgeous in their own way. I'll be... More

From the moment you see it as you arrive it catches your eye looking so quaint. Off street parking and close to the centre of town to either walk or drive. The welcome was lovely and genuine this couple have a genuine pride in the guest house and commitment to respecting those that have owned it before them even naming... More
