We were becoming annoyed at the increase in prices for the Winter festival time at Katoomba and decided to try a Motel who had only a small increase in prices. At first we were dissapointed in the room as the Motel is obviously very old - maybe 1960's? The carpet is very worn and the room had an older style... more

I have stayed here several times. It is about 2km from the centre of Katoomba. It is quiet despite being close to the Gt Western Highway. The rooms are a standard motel room. They are clean, comfortable and well presented. Unlike most motels they provide FRESH milk, not UHT, in your fridge for your tea and coffee. Wonderful! I have... more

We found the Sky Rider perfectly located for seeing the Blue Mountains near Katoomba. It's located about two kilometers from town, within sight of Route 32, the Great Western Highway from Sydney, but not actually on it. Having left things a little late as usual we were lucky to find possibly the last rooms available in the Blue Mountains for the Queens Birthday weekend, certainly without paying in excess of $400 a night.
