We booked for two nights and were not disappointed. We were greeted at reception by the owner Joe who is absolutely charming like the B & B. Our room was big and spacious and we had lovely garden views. Clean and comfortable. Breakfast was included in our rate and was great. The cottage is located close to the Three Sisters... More

Lovely old house. Room was a good size and comfortable bed. Clean bathroom but looking like it could need a spruce up. The host was helpful and cooked a nice hot brekky in the morning. It was good value for the price we paid.

We stayed for one night over the Easter long weekend. The location of the property is great being close to Three Sisters and centre of Katoomba. Unfortunately thats where the positives ended. The property is extremely old and rundown. There was a musty smell in the room and the room was in need of an update. We stayed in room... More

We were greeted by a lovely lady who ran through how the accommodation worked, she showed us to our room and offered her assistance. On entering the room we had no coat hangers, but she was able to get us a couple straight away. Later we also needed some scissors and an extra towel and this was no issue. The... More

Just returned from a night at Avonleigh, lovely . Yes could do with a little spruce up but very clean and adequate. Hostess is adorable and helpful, breakfast plain but good. I would recommend it to anyone.

We were in Katoomba for a friends wedding but as it was a long weekend in Spring, accommodation was limited. Some of Avonleighs reviews were not spectacular but the family room was surprisingly comfortable. Breakfast was adequate but more to motel standard than your average B & B. The guest house is Victorian with lovely high ceilings. The facilities would... More

We were quite disappointed that the website showing a cosy period hotel and the reality were very different. The room was clean and warm (September) and inexpensive in a good location but we were disappointed that there was no fridge or tea making facilities in the room with only basic facilities (no additional pillows) and the very small TV facing... My wife and I had a lovely time at this B&B. Very good location, walking distance to Echo Point and a 5 minute drive from RSL, resteraunts and shops. Joanne is the perfect host, very helpful and welcoming and cannot do enough to make you comfortable during your stay.

Firstly I'd like to point out I have never complained about accommodation before, but I felt in this case people should be informed of the property before they look at staying here. We were so disappointed with the stay. We thought that the Avonleigh Guesthouse would be a great cosy weekend away for an Anniversary but was anything but this.... More

The staff were welcoming on our arrival but this was the highlight. After a rough night with a hard bed my husband and I woke to no hot water. Breakfast was basic toast, condiments and cereal. The tea and coffee were cold. After about half an hour scrambled eggs were placed in the bain-marie that was not turned on. Unfortunately... More
