Yes the hotel has an amazing view, but it's the view into it's past that is unique. For instance, I sat listening to Bing Crosby and Nat King Cole whilst eating breakfast? In my view, the hotel is in a time warp that makes it unique from more modern day hotels, great if you like that. The staff on arrival... More

I booked a spa package room with a spa bath that was so old and noisey i thought id be disturbing the neighbours, a fireplace that you cant light, massage and facials that were great except the staff made me feel self conscious by giving me all the donts and wasnt able to relax and enjoy. Breakfast that was rather... More

Dear Sandra H Thanks for your review. We checked the spa & fireplace, in your room, they work fine, no excess noise from the spa, that can be heard outside the room. We would have been very happy to help start the fire if you were having difficulty, they really do add a warming atmosphere to the room. I will... More

Went her for our 30th wedding anniversary, the rooms are huge, the view was amazing, on arrival I was told there is a complementary breakfast which was great and only $12 to upgrade to hot. The fires of a night were cozy. Staff all very friendly. Will definitely be going back I hope.

Great hotel and very friendly staff. Had a nice dinner in the restaurant and was great sitting in the bar next to the fire with the piano playing. Overall was a great night away. Oh and the spa was good as well.

The reason is that i booked 2 nights stay, however when the first night i arrived there, i found a cockroach in my room, and then i called the night manager (also most 11 PM), said i want to cancel the second night's stay. I told The night manager that i worried about the deposit because I booked... More

Hotel is well located near Katoomba Station, but not on the main thoroughfare and has excellent views from restaurant and sitting room. Lots of old world charm, plush comfy armchairs and sofas and fireplaces, and essential comfort from April through September. Our corner room with a fireplace and spa bath was spacious, clean, and comfortable with good aspects out of... More

We stayed two nights at this hotel over the Easter weekend. The hotel itself is absolutely gorgeous and well-maintained in terms of it's heritage. We'd booked a Valley View Suite, and was pleasantly surprised on arrival to learn it was actually separate to the hotel itself, huge, self-contained room with a massive wrap-around verandah overlooking the Jamison Valley. A few... More
