I was on holiday and stopped for two days in Katoomba to visit the Blue Mountains. I found this hostel at recommendation from a local I met outside of the train station. This is the perfect place for anyone looking for a quiet and quaint place that provides peaceful solitude. I also was able to connect with my hostel mates... More

This hostel is a gem. Nice and quaint, small cosy place about 7 mins walk from the station. It's a downhill walk so u do have to walk back up. Clean comfortable rooms and toilets. Excellent service, Nicolette was v nice and helpful with maps and suggestions. Would recommend people who like quiet hostels to stay in no 14!

We stayed here a couple of weeks ago, we picked the big room near the office with ensuite bathroom, it was perfect. The place is clean and the staff friendly and patient. There are good restaurants and supermarkets just beware that almost everything closes early.

A wonderful little hostel with friendly, helpful staff just a short walk from the train station and the center of town. It's close to everything and perfectly located for exploring the Blue Mountain region. Arriving at No. 14 was like returning to the cottage of my youth. There's a big country style kitchen, large dining/sitting area, small den with a... More

Staying here feels more like staying in someone's home rather than a hostel. I am currently the only person in a four bed dorm. The staff are really friendly - when she hadn't seen me get back from a day exploring the Blue Mountains the lady was going to phone me to make sure I was ok. There is a... More

This hostel is much more like a home than a hostel. When we arrived we were greeted by the owners, and a roaring fire. It was cosy, comfortable and incredibly clean. There was a free breakfast, tea, coffee and WiFi with comfy sofas to chill out on and spacious rooms. If you are a backpacker, this No 14 is perfect... More

I spent 1 night here and it was clean, homely and peaceful. The booking in system is cute and old fashioned, based on trust. There is a lot of character here, clean kitchen and bathrooms, nice common room and outdoor seating areas. Free cereal and WiFi. Would recommend.

This hostel is very homely - it was recommended in our Rough Guides book and we weren't disappointed. We had a private double, which was very sweet. The shared dorms looked very nice, clean and homely too. The facilities were great - brilliant kitchen and very clean bathrooms. We are a young couple and felt comfortable here. There were people...
