this is by far the nicest hostel that I have ever stay in. It is walking distance for everything in Katoomba (the train station, the 3 Sisters, restaurants, night life). The staff takes care of you like you are family. I would highly recommend this place to anyone going to visit the Blue Mountains. more

This place was one of the highlights of our trip! It's situated close to the shops, right by a supermarket. The staff are so friendly and helpful, provide so much info about the area. I have never stayed in a hostel or any backpacker hotels before and I must say that I am surprised by how clean YHA was. I am fussy about bathrooms and I am very pleased that the bathrooms are well maintained and clean. Overall, for the price that I paid, it was worth it. more

Absolutely super YHA probably best every stayed in, looks and feels like an Alpine Lodge. Clean, HUGE kitchen and dining area. Also separate keys for ladies and gents for showers/toilets so really good security for young ladies. Staff at reception could be a bit more friendly. Also quite a walk from the train station, could set up shuttle service. more
