We stayed here for 2nights last week, first night we were in a suite on 2nd floor, however it was very hot and there was no aircon, just a fan! The next day we asked if we could move to an air conditioned room and that was immediately organised, however they were apologetic as it was a smaller room, and... More

The authentic renovation of this grand old turn-of-the-century hotel, together with its original lift, made our stay in the Blue Mountains memorable. Just in front of the hotel, Pomegranate Cafe served a great lunch, while the easy back-road 5 minute drive to Leura enhanced our wonderful weekend!

We found the hotel to be excellent in most respects – welcoming staff, clean room, good facilities – all wrapped up in cleverly restored 19th century grandeur. The history, wood panelling, grand entrance stairs, snooker room etc. combine to create a sense of old-world elegance, quietness and relaxation. That's what we would have liked to have enjoyed but sadly it... More

A wonderful hotel with old world charm. Stayed here twice on a visit to Australia. Wonderful place, beautiful room and great staff. The breakfast was excellent as was the stunning dining room. The history of the hotel is absolutely fascinating.

We stayed 3 nights at The Carrington at a most reasonable rate which included a Continental Breakfast in the dining room. The decor of the entire hotel fitted the period totally, even down to the old fashioned lift.... which worked. While we didn't have a room with a view the stained glass windows were very effective. The King size bed... More

Loved the beautiful building with its old world charm. The staff were friendly and we enjoyed sitting by the fire in the evening chatting with friends. The hotel is in a great location with lovely grounds.

This hotel is truly opulent, and beautifully maintained in the style of a bygone era (being built in 1880). Our room was large and very comfortable. Although we had shared bathroom facilities this did not detract from our stay. The complimentary continental breakfast offered a wide selections of fresh and dried fruits, cereals, yoghurt, breads and juices. The hotel grounds... More

This beautiful hotel in the main street of Katoomba was opened in 1883. It was fully restored and re opened in 1998. Step back in time and enjoy the glory days of the Blue Mountains. The type of hotel Jay Gatsby would stay at. The very interesting Blue Mountains Cultural Centre is next door

Spent 4 days at the Carrington for our wedding anniversary and was not disappointed. Rooms were clean and tidy and the service could not be faulted. Staying in an "old classic" (est 1880) was a joy. Breakfast was served in the Grand dining room and the facilities like lounges and bars were good. We were lucky enough to experience a... More
