We booked a room with a spa and weren't disappointed. It kept is warm on the cooler nights. Staff was friendly and we loved the games room. The location is great. Everything in katoomba is in walking distance and the hotel offered free car parking too! The only thing we would suggest is to invest in some new mattresses.

I have been to the Carrington on several occasions the place is nice, but the service leaves a lot to be desired. I took some friends in to the main bar and ordered a coffee, for a none drinker and cider for my other friend, when I asked the bar man for a glass of port, his reply was that... More

Me and my lovely bride were having our wedding in Katoomba and whilst having our photo shoot the heavens opened up so we decided to take refuge at the Carrington cocktail lounge for a few relaxing drinks in between our formalities. Quiet a few of our wedding guests & family were staying at the hotel & were also gathered in... More

Four of us spent a very pleasant overnight stay at The Carrington, which is a lovely old hotel, with lots of stained glass and other attractive architectural features. The rooms are very comfortable and we had an excellent dinner in the dining room. The garden is also a delight.

Really nice place to stay. A huge step back in time with all the ol' trimmings of an era gone by. There are a lot of eateries in this street, with boutique and other shops of varying interests. There are four Hotels within walking distance as well. We had a ball at the New Years Eve theme nights there on several... More

We stayed here for 2nights last week, first night we were in a suite on 2nd floor, however it was very hot and there was no aircon, just a fan! The next day we asked if we could move to an air conditioned room and that was immediately organised, however they were apologetic as it was a smaller room, and... More

The authentic renovation of this grand old turn-of-the-century hotel, together with its original lift, made our stay in the Blue Mountains memorable. Just in front of the hotel, Pomegranate Cafe served a great lunch, while the easy back-road 5 minute drive to Leura enhanced our wonderful weekend!

We found the hotel to be excellent in most respects – welcoming staff, clean room, good facilities – all wrapped up in cleverly restored 19th century grandeur. The history, wood panelling, grand entrance stairs, snooker room etc. combine to create a sense of old-world elegance, quietness and relaxation. That's what we would have liked to have enjoyed but sadly it... More

A wonderful hotel with old world charm. Stayed here twice on a visit to Australia. Wonderful place, beautiful room and great staff. The breakfast was excellent as was the stunning dining room. The history of the hotel is absolutely fascinating.
