I traveled 9 months in Australia, visited many hostels, but this is absolutely the best in the category under $25 a night (for a 12 share dorm) Everything is clean. You got a great locker in your room. Shower is clean and works! Kitchen is clean and amazing for a (cheap) hostel. The knives are great and There are ovens... More

Rates for very ordinary rooms in this popular Australian tourist, World Heritage listed location are around $100.00 And then you have to feed yourself/yourselves.... more bucks. So rather than pay around $100.00 for the room, and then extra for eating out, my son (35) and I (70) decided to stay at this privately owned, two-story, converted-to-backpacker hostel from some type... We don't stay in hostels often, however booked an overnight tour which used this place. During the week it seems a lot quieter and despite being in a dorm we were the only people in the room. The room seemed reasonably clean, however the amount of road noise is immense, with extra noise from the regular trains. Returning guests and... More

At the weekends this place is heaving, during the week its chilled out! I stayed on 2 separate occasions, both in private rooms and dorms. The dorms are huge, you get a big locker! The staff are very friendly and helpful, the kitchen is kept clean and well equipped. Its simply a great place!

Stayed there for 2 nights. Centrally located, close to the train station and main street. Really spacious hostel, does not feel crowded at all. Big kitchen with all the equipment you need. Really appreciated the free laundry. And the reception staff was really friendly andhelpful, giving tips on good bushwalks...

Really nice staff and great size kitchen. We enjoyed our stay. The hostel is short walk from train and easy to get to supermarket, video store, and of course hikes in the Big Blue! Tip: if you want to rent videos, sign up a new membership at the video store around the corner and you'll get a great 1st month... More

Shame they have to put up with a horribly run hostel where the owners only want to get your money and run the place on s shoe String . They hated... More

We stayed here for 2 nights in a double prive room wuth toilet. No cleaning happened the entire time, nor in the room or in the common areas. The hostels was full and it took 20 minutes to check out. The room key was not working, so we had to wait and cheque every time we needed to get in.... More

Avoid this place! Filthy, noisy and by far the most revolting hostel I've stayed. It took us almost an hour to queue to check in and whilst waiting the people in front of us who had just checked in were already leaving as they couldn't stand their room. Wish we had done the same. The rooms are noisy and dirty.... More

Having stayed in over 100 hostels all over the World I can confidently say that this is the dirtiest and most poorly managed I've ever experienced. I had the misfortune to stay here for 2 nights and I know for certain no cleaning happened the entire time. With over 100 people sharing just a few showers and toilets you can... More
