We were disappointed that the fire in the lounge was lit very late in the afternoon . The carpet on the stairs was littered with I don't really know what it was , but it was still there when we left on the third day. I was very thankful that the curtains in the dining room did not fall down... More

Overall our stay was lovely, very friendly staff and helpful, however reception and breakfast at 8 am is a little late for us. Meal and atmosphere excellent in restaurant and breakfast great. Was a bit disappointed that the fires weren't lit in morning and the fire in little Parlour Bar not lit on Sunday night was looking forward to sitting... More

Stayed at room where the toilet didn't work properly and it was disgusting! Hair and toothpaste in the sink and mirror. The room was small, uncomfortable, dirty, dusty, the carpet looked like it has never been vacuum since 1929. The guy in the reception was so snob, always put his hands in his pockets. The reception was always empty, we... More

We came here expecting the 3.5 star hotel that was advertised and shown in photos on the site. It seems that really only applies to the 9 renovated rooms. Most of the rooms instead are very worn and small. The door between mine and the room next door is so thin I was woken up by his shoring. The curtains... More

If you like 4 star accommodation stay away. If you dont take yourself to serious spend a night or two. Our room was small old but warm and clean. The dining room is a pleasant surprise as was breakfast and the sitting rooms are 1st class from a bygone era that just beg you to sit by the open fire... More

Spa was good but need something to hold onto to get in and out of spa. Rsl just across the road which was great I didn't have to drive. I would stay... More

Do yourself a favour and don't book this place. The wallpaper is mouldy, the carpet is stained the fixtures are broken and the walls are paper thin. The hotel has a 1920s theme but i doubt it has ever had any maintaince since then.

I booked this hotel and then asked for a refund as I had some health issues and was not supposed to travel. They would not refund, so I went anyway. Oh FYI a relative of mine works in hotels and this is actually unlawful practice. I found a dirty sock in my room, tampon wrapper, and hair in the drain of... More

Hotel has plenty of character and charm and is centrally located in katoomba. Has a couple of common rooms to relax in,a good selection of beers. The restaurant has great food. The rooms are comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful and helped make our stay a memorable one.

My husband and I have just returned with our grandson from the Blue Mountains where we celebrated his 11th birthday. Hotel Blue was a great spot to stay with pre-teen children as there is a pool table and several chess sets, while for adults there is the Parlour Bar and an open fire. The staff were incredibly friendly right from... More
