Hotel Blue is a hotel that is really ornate and quaint. Located just 20 minutes walk to Echo Point where the "3 Sisters" are in best view from a height and distance. It is family run and the staff is very helpful with the extra mile to make your stay like a home guest. The bed is so very comfortable... More

I loved staying at this hotel. The room had a lovely view and the public rooms were extensive and charming. The main lounge had some wonderful furniture, and it was a real pleasure sitting there having a quiet (and very reasonably priced) drink while doing some work on my laptop. The staff were all very friendly and helpful - the... More

This hotel is described as a "1920's -style boutique hotel" and it would appear that if you have enough old fashioned furniture and plenty of musty smells permeating the establishment, then you're on your way! Quite honestly we found this place to be just a sad and tired OLD hotel. The service was alright I guess, but WIRE coat hangers... More

Ive stayed in this hotel about 4 times in the last 3-4 years. The first time the service was fantastic and the staff very friendly and welcoming but the building was in dire need of refurbishment. Each visit since the staff are still fantastic and the builiding has been slowly renovated and improved each time. Good : Greatly improved rooms,... More

This is a terrible hotel. So old fashioned completely different from the photos on the internet ! Bathroom was awful as well Defiantly would Never go back ! For the money paid defiantly not worth it. The receptionist laughed and was rude when we told her our room was to hot as there is no air conditioning !

This was our second visit to this gorgeous 1930s / 40s hotel. Second time around was disappointing in that this time we stayed two nights instead of just one - and the room was not serviced at all after our first night! (Well apparently it was, but not that you could tell!!) Towels were not changed (apparently we were meant... More

Dear Gillian, It was a pleasure to have you stay with us again recently - it is always lovely to see our guests returning for another visit. We are disappointed to hear that you were dissatisfied with the way your room was serviced by our housekeeping staff. For the benefit of TripAdvisor readers, I must emphasise that the system of... Our group of 3 stayed here for one night. The photos on their website showed rooms which had old-world charm but looked luxurious. Our room was nothing like the pictures - it was small but all we did was sleep so it was ok. The pictures were misleading though. I understand the old-world decor but some of the things were... Dear Sarah, We're really disappointed to hear that our hotel didn't quite live up to your expectations. We’re slightly perplexed by your impression that you’d booked a really "luxurious" hotel , and even more so by the fact that you didn't think your Triple Room looked like the photos on our website. The accommodation we offer is clean, comfortable, warm... More

I stayed here for 3 nights. Comfortable room (7) terrific breakfast, and close to the RSL for a cheap meal. The Hotel is on the routes of both the local bus and tourist Red bus and trolley car. Walking distance to the Three Sisters, unfortunately, the pool wasn’t opened when I stayed here. Free WiFi. Many guest come here for... More

The hotel is "old but proud". It harked back to an earlier era with furniture, wall paper, carpets and decorations fitting the theme. Lots of cosy places to sit and enjoy the ambience of the public areas which also host music sessions at the weekends. A log fire and a bar both add to the cosiness, with old jazz and... More

This was our secong stay at the Blue. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. We accept that they are still renovating and it was interesting to see what changes had been made since our last stay. Great value and we had a delicious dinner in the Dining Room. Love the bar and lounge area. we will definitely be back again.
