We stayed here for 5 nights while snowboarding. We didn't really want to blow our budget on the accommodation. I was ready to scrap the idea of going as it was going to cost almost as much as going to Queenstown NZ. Which we went to in 2012. Then my hubby found this place. I reluctantly agreed. It was great!... More

Thank you Caleb for the warm reception.. Our room number 8 has the view of the lake..The amenities in the room were pretty basic yet comfortable. The continental breakfast is alright.Very suited for budget conscious family.Very close to shops..

Great value for money in Jindabyne, also around snow season. Rather outdated but everything was well kept and very clean. Kaleb (the owner) was lovely, really friendly and left us alone during our stay. Breakfast is basic, ie. toast & cereal. But there is plenty of food and enough variety, ie. honey, Vegemite, jam, nutrigrain, corn flakes. Parking could get... More

Pros: Price, Free breakfast, Location to local shops, Friendly manager Cons: Tightly budgeted - "heating" is about the same heat a coffee cup produces (literally), towels leave you covered in coloured fluff, not a great sense of privacy but i assume that's how lodges are (was our first), you can hear every noise made above you in many different creaky... Dearest Former Guest, Thank you for your review, and thank you for bringing to attention to our brand new doona covers, sheets, towels and bath mats (sorry we overlooked washing them before using them for the first time.) At the Troldhaugen Lodge your heating is regulated manually, turn the adjustment nob in for less heat, out for hot.We turn heating up... More

Great value for money. The lodge itself is somewhat dated, nothing is falling apart or anything, its just the art & furnishings could use an update. But hey, who would notice the bedspread with amazing panoramic water views! Also the friendly service gave it a home away from home feel.

Our stay of 3 nights coincided with a strong cold front which brought strong winds, cold weather and loads of snow to the mountains, even a bit to Jindabyne! The Lodge was warm and comfortable, where you could easily walk into town to eat in the evenings, which was a good idea on the weekend as parking was a problem... More

We stayed at the Troldhaugen for 5 nights in July. As previously noted the decor is dated but the accommodation is clean and very comfortable. The log fire in the upstairs lounge is lovely after a day on the slopes. Breakfast is basic but enough with tea and coffee available 24/7, and the view from the window of the lake... More

We stayed at Troldhaugen Lodge for two nights over Easter 2012. There were 5 of us (two parents, 18 yo daughter and boyfriend and 11 yo daughter). We were accommodated all together in a room which slept 5 (room 2, from memory) which had a small ensuite as well as a little table and chairs, and a TV. It was... More

We stayed here in April 2012 and had a fabulous stay in a very cosy lodge. Admittedly bookings were pretty light when we were there, so our kids had the run of the place. Caleb (the host) was extremely helpful, but otherwise kept out of our way. Breakfast was included but pretty basic, and the rooms and accommodation are also... More

My husband and I stayed two nights at Troldhaugen Lodge. We weren't sure what to expect but were very pleasantly surprised. We got an excellent cheap deal at fairly late notice (during the week before). Caleb the host was exceptionally friendly, accommodating and helpful. We even got a phone call to check we were ok as he hadn't seen us... More
