Travelling from interstate for ski season a stop in Jindy on our way to our lodge at Thredbo was required. We chose this property due to its reasonable rate. The room was basic and dated but on the up side it had a large renovated bathroom. This was probably the saving grace as when we pulled the blankets back the... More

I had misgivings upon arrival at Acacia Snowy Motel as we entered the dingy foyer, a veritable relic of the past. And within the first five minutes we already had a taste of the noisiness too, as a great crowd of skiers were gathered there, making quite a ruckus. Our room was moved upstairs, where apparently we would hear less... More

We haven't had a Jude.N stay with us as a registered booker. The booker of the room should have advised accompanying guests the following - - We do not advertise cooking facilities, sinks, crockery, eating utensils etc. in the room. - Hairdryers are available at reception. - a BUDGET BUNK ROOM is what it is advertised as - A BUDGET... This is the second time we have stayed here and we would happily stay again. We stayed 2 nights and our accommodation had 4 bunks (2 adults and 6 kids (not all ours!) ranging from 4 - 12yrs) and was warm and roomy enough for all of us and our stuff. This time around we had breakfast included and all... More

We stayed for 2 nights and booked at short notice as the snow was good that weekend. The decor is quirky but rooms are huge and very comfortable with tea/coffee, Kettle and TV. Bathroom has been recently renovated and is very spacious. Staff friendly and obliging and are happy to share their experiences of the area. We had breakfast included... More

We checked in late in the day (after dinner service) and were lost, not knowing what to do. However, the hosts were very helpful. Genuine folk, helpful and to the point. They told us about the best places to eat, rent equipment (with a discount card) and most importantly, a convenient way to bring our big and heavy bags into... More

Went here with 10 other friends, booked out a few of the 6 person rooms which were a reasonable price by the time we divided it around. The 7-8:30am breakfast (included) is incredible (think hash browns, egg, bacon, sausage, beans, spaghetti and tomatoes) so definitely wake up early and be ready in your snow gear to make the most of... Male manager was helpful and friendly when I placed booking over the phone. Thanks! Check in process was quick & flexible with payment (split between couples). Contrary to other reviews, management was the most pleasant thing about our visit. Rooms basic. Bathroom was good quality & clean. The cleanliness in the rooms was sub-par. Unfortunately to put a sour end... More

Thank you for the review and your kind words on management. Stayed Fri and Saturday and departed Sunday. The review received on Monday. The room booked was a budget bunk room - a total of 7 guests in the room, all from one party. All budget rooms are basic in facilities - ensuite, tv, t/c facilities, fridge. When these rooms... Other reviews are an interesting read. Our experience was not that bad. Our room was clean, the bed comfortable and the bathroom newly renovated was spotless. Heating in the room is via electric wall mounted unit that only operates between 4pm and 9am. Given we spent the days out skiing, not really a problem except the day we arrived meant... More

We were here as part of a school group. Our students are fantastic, well mannered and well behaved. When we checked in we were told a previous school group were terrible so we had better not be? The rooms are awful, rotten bathrooms, extremely stained carpets, yellow mattress protectors, mould, dirty cups and without a doubt THE RUDEST owner I've ever... More

This is the similar review from another staff member at Wagin - 2 days Thursday and Friday. 25 students and 4 staff - a very high ratio. Your opinion on the students was not shared by the guests below or other guests in the motel. Your comments on the food, were not shared by the previous reviewer. This review is... More

I was travelling as part of a school group, with 25 students and 4 teachers. We were really looking forward to staying at this motel, as its distance from the snow is great and we had paid a lot of money. The single beds were comfortable and warm, and I was lucky enough to get a bathroom that had been... More

This school travelled from Western Australian. On arrival and prior to the first meal at the 'safety talk' where standards are outlined. They can have fun, but only if it is safe to do so (not only for them, but also for other guests). They were initially noisy and a complaint was made by a guest staying in a room... More
