My wife and I and our two children, ages 7 and 4, have just returned from 6 wonderful nights at Brett's Moonbah Huts. It is difficult to overstate how much we enjoyed our time. As a family we are fortunate to have travelled extensively, both in Australia and globally. We have had some fabulous holidays and experiences. Yet, it is... More

We were disappointed to only have 24 hours at the Moonbah Hut and felt we were a million miles from the city bustle. We all learnt to fly fish with our very patient and knowledgable angler, Brett and our children aged 10 and 12 were busy swimming in the dam with Buster, checking the chickens and then built and tended... Moonbah hut has left us with nothing but positive memories! Everything from the location, experience, and right down to hospitality... It has been by far the best we've experienced in Australia thus far. Brett is one of the warmest hosts we’ve met and a truly wonderful human being who made our visit at Moonbah truly extraordinary. We were there for... More

Wow, Wow, Wow! It's really very difficult to adequately respond to such kind and generous comments and I wish I was more articulate in this regard! I hope I can convey at least some of how special this kind of feedback makes me feel and just how satisfying it is, personally, to know that you had a lovely time. You... More

My husband and I spent a very special few nights at the River Hut and it was absolutely perfect! It is a beautifully appointed cabin in a scenic, peaceful and relaxing location. I'm sure Brett has thought of everything in spoiling his guests with little unexpected treats throughout. I couldn't think of a way to improve on our next stay.

Fantastic place to stay and get away from it all. Open fire is not to be missed made easy by firewood on the doorstep and Buster the dog is a very eco friendly waste disposal. If seclusion and privacy are what you want then this is for you.

The cabin was amazing and the finishing touches like a complimentary bottle of wine and chocolates just made it so much better. I could not have imagined a better place to propose to my now fiance. Keep up the good work Brett. Dan and Michele

We have just spent an amazing long weekend at Moonbah Hut (Lake Hut) and not a mouse to be seen!! This is a rustic, mountain hut in an idyllic location. Brett has done an amazing job in making these huts comfortable and appropriate for the beautiful surrounds. It is exactly as we imagined and as described on the website. While... More

We have just spent a week in the river hut. It was the most relaxing holidays we could ever have hoped for. Location is so very peaceful. Bretts attention to details in the hut from bed linen, wine, coffee, chocolates all what makes a wonderful stay. The fire place is a great way to relax and read book by at... More

This isn’t the Hilton. In fact, this is nothing near an ordinary hotel stay. Far from it. For starters, the Lake Hut – bedroom, kitchen, lounge and bathroom, would probably fit inside a standard hotel bedroom. You won't get room service. Nor will you get a mini bar. (You will get underfloor heating though!) Modelled on a traditional stockman’s hut,... More

Thanks Scott. It was a pleasure meeting you mate and I enjoyed all the chats. I'll definitely be following the big NZ project and intend to get over there again to check it out. Take care Scott. More

We stayed in both the lake and river huts late November 2012. Loved the whole experience and Brett is a great, welcoming host, as is Buster. A beautiful, peaceful part of the world and easy drive from Canberra airport. Loved all the wildlife, serenity, and besides complete relaxation there is lots to see and do in the nearby Snowy Mountains... More
