Staying at Rivergum lodge for the first time was an experience in its self that had my family smiling from the moment we rocked up at 11pm on a Friday night, half expecting a cranky guest manager to rouse on us for being so late. Not even. Rodney greeted us warmly at the door and offered us warm drinks right... More

As soon as my family and I arrived at the lodge we were treat very well. The Owner Rodney was very kind towards all of us. The accomodation was exactly what we wanted, sit back in front of the open fire and relax after a big day/s on the snow. We chose to eat dinner at the lodge and he... More

I love this place. This is the second time we stayed and always wanted to come back again. First was 2011, and this year for some spring skiing with my two sons. We enjoyed the stay, good comfortable accommodation, great fun atmosphere, good tasty food. We love the rules. The rules create a normal environment and it keeps the idiots... More

I'm not really the sort of person who writes reviews, but you deserve to be warned about this place!! When I go on a ski holiday and pay good money to stay somewhere close to the snow, weirdly I expect to be treated like a someone who is paying good money to stay somewhere close to the snow, and strangely... Stayed here 2012 for a weekend. As soon as we walked in the door the owner made a horrible impression that only got worse. He is rude, overbearing and incredibly prejudice. The rooms have paper thin walls and shared everything, not allowing any privacy which only gets worse with the dictator that is the manager. After arguments about our cleanliness... More

From the moment u walk into this weird lodge Rodney acts like a creep! U can't wear your shoes inside, u have to share accommodation, showers, toilets, the actual location of this lodge is NOT East jindabyne it's actually Hilltop! There are no locks on your doors for when u leave for the day to go riding which is a... More

We quickly became one of Rodney's very extended family within minutes of arrival. It was just like home, complete with rules.. "Shoes off!! I've just cleaned the floor! You're late, I've been worried!!" Be prepared to chat with all the guests as old friends - reckon you'll see them again when you return, full of stories, another inch taller, another hair... More

We stayed in one of the cabins at Rivergum lodge and it was amazing. Every night Rodney would come down before we got back from the snow fields and light our fire for us and every morning we would head up to the main lodge to eat a fresh hot breakfast that he would be cooking. Rivergum lodge has a... More

From the moment you arrive you will know that this is a different experience. This is not a hotel or a guest house, it is European style ski lodge accomodation. If you want to be pampered and mollycoddled with grovelling service, go elsewhere. The Host, owner and chef is Rodney. A unique character who is as part of the mountains... More
