On arrival, we were greeted by the host and given a quick tour and made to feel very welcome. We stayed in a twin room for two nights early in September. Rooms are very clean with heaters in each room to keep things cosy on cold nights and the beds were very comfortable. The lodge has a nice community lounge... More

We have stayed in the Aalberg in August 2013, when the main season crowd was off the slopes. Being as you call it "the snow enthuasiasts", rather then the real skiers, we basically were looking for the same accomodation as all other snow lovers. Close to the shops, to the road, comfortable rest and a good breakfast before the snow.... More

I've gotta say I wasn't that thrilled with our stay here. Luckily for us, we were only here for 4 days before leaving to stay at a place on snow in Perisher. Our room was really quite small, and for what we paid, I was expecting a room where the bathroom door could open all the way, and not hit... More

You could not ask for more. Our hosts were knowledgeable, caring and their focus on customer service was first class. Simply put, they want you to have a great time on the slopes and then apres ski/board, whether it's a quiet night in at their own restaurant, or a night out on the town. If you're going to stay in... This was a late booking for this season but we were lucky to have found this place for the price. This is the friendliest lodge we have ever stayed in. We were welcomed like family members and enjoyed the food. Rooms were very comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. We will definitely be staying here again when we come... More

A fantastic family lodge that caters for a great variety of needs. Spending time at the Aalberg is relaxing, enjoyable, friendly and exciting. The idea that you can get such a warm and friendly atmosphere that brings complete strangers together in a casual environment from an accommodation house is rare. Enjoy the comfortable rooms, while not large they are exactly... More

My young family and I just spent a week with Ulla and Lindsay's Aalberg Chalet. We were welcomed like family and had a brilliant stay, making up for lousy snow (unlucky timing). Nothing is too much trouble for Lindsay and Ulla, and they took my children under their wing like they were visiting nieces and nephews. We were well fed,... More

We booked the Aarlberg for an affordable skiing holiday for 1 adult and 5 teenagers. Whilst the rooms are small, they were extremely clean and functional. The food from the french-trained Argentinian cook was extremely good, and above all, Lindsay and Ulla were delightful hosts....always helpful and attentive. The family room and pool table went down extremely well with the... More

Although the managers were very friendly, unfortunately that is the only good thing I have to say about this accomodation. I'm very shocked that it has received the previous rating on this website. The room is extremely small. Once my husband and I got in it with our bags there was little room to move. You couldn't even walk comfortably... More

This is the first time I have left feedback but The Aalberg in Jindabyne deserves a few words as it was so perfect for our family. Rooms are clean, water is piping hot and nothing is ever too much to ask of Ulla and Lindsay. The breakfasts and evening meals were a god send with hearty home cocked food (and... More
