The dorsal had amazing views out to the ocean and coast. The Staff were only just happy to be there although it was the middle of winter. The food in the restaurant was very good but the atmosphere was lacking. As I said it was the middle of winter

Nice place. Quite a spacious room, very clean but is probably getting near the time of its life where, to retain the "boutique" description, and to help the boutique prices not sting so much, it needs some updating. But that view. Seriously makes up for any other failings - just spectacular. Considering that area is quite busy (right near the... More

We stayed in a Superior room (403). It had a king size bed and a single bed. There was a sitting area with two comfortable armchairs and a coffee table. The view from the room and balcony was spectacular - nothing between us and the ocean. We could hear the sound of the waves which was very peaceful. The room... More

Friendly staff, not quite boutique hotel though. Room was spacious but ordinary. Spa was just a normal bath tub with jets. View was awesome. Restaurant had great service but limited menu and a little pricey. Overall an ok visit. No room service.

We chose the Dorsal Boutique Hotel for a romantic getaway with my partner. The room was clean, views to die for and spa bath even though small was a bonus. Our weekend weather was terrible but the views and location of the hotel made visiting town for window shopping so easy. The staff were fantastic and friendly, the restaurant offered... More

We stayed 2 evenings in late November and paid $200 per night. While the view is spectacular, the hotel is definitely not a boutique hotel. The room was spacious but lacked character (very minimalist). The bathroom was extremely small and there was not enough storage or surface area for your normal bathroom products. The staff were quite off hand, very unprofessional... More

The hotel itself was fine. Large rooms, friendly staff, good restaurant. It's on the beach and goose to the town so very central. But 2 key issues I found: 1) I was advised that the town was too rough to go out by myself after dusk so that therefore confined me 2) the free internet is via dial up and... More

We stayed for just 1 night over the busy Christmas holiday period. At $300 per night it is expensive but everywhere if Forster is priced high at this time of year. Our room was large and clean and the view from the balcony is easy to take in with a beverage of choice looking over main beach. While the room,... More

Have stayed here a number of times over the years, primarily for business. Think this is my last stay. Restaurant is overpriced and has become quite ordinary. Service is questionable and when you consider that the cost of the room and the restaurant are equivalent to city based beach hotels, the value simply isn't there. The view is fantastic, but... More

This hotel has the potential to offer such a fantastic holiday experience - it is right opposite the beach, has a beach facing restaurant and court yard and is close to the main town centre, but, the staff and management are seriously inexperienced and unfortunately lack customer service skills. Plus the rooms whilst they are clean are very dated and... More
