A cosy warm comfortable motel on a cold Cooma night. The room was basic but had all the ameneties we required for a nights stay. It was on the main road as you entered Cooma from the Snowey Mountains and though the motel did not provide evening meals there were plenty of eateries in the main street.

We stay here regularly for business. The room is extremely clean and has everything needed for a comfortable stay. The bathroom is spotless. The mattress is comfortable and bedding warm. The motel is located within walking distance to town and also ideally located close to 'Birdsnest' the most amazing women's clothing store ever! The owner/operator is helpful and nothing is... More

There was some sort of event in Cooma the weekend we arrived. The only room available in town was the family room at the Alkira Motel. The owner gave us a small discount ($110, instead of $130) as it was just the two of us. The room was a little tired but adequate. Bedding could use an update. Room was... More

Stayed here en-route to Melbourne for one night, travelling solo. Quite frankly, for my $95 I want more than a 12 inch TV, the smallest bar fridge I have ever seen on the floor and virtually inaccessible, sheets that obviously are not professionally cleaned and a room that has early 60's decor that is quite shabby. At 4am some fool... More

Thank you for your opnion however our tv's are 21inch not 12 .Alkira is only 5 minutes walk away from middle of town. We can't control how people drive in or out of the car park Guess we can't please everyone, 1 bad review out of 28 says a lot. More

This is a nice model with a good room and helpful staff. We got good tips on where to go for walks in the Snowy Mountains and how long they might take, and where to go for more information. Also, I left my laptop charger behind and I got a phone call from them really quickly to let me know.

I stayed at the Alkira Motel for One night while motorcycling between Canberra and Victoria. I left at approximately 9.00 am and when stopped approximately 2 hours later I noted that I had a missed call. I called the number and it was answered by the owner/manager of the Alkiria Motel. The Owner/Manager advised me that I had left my... More

Ours was a pleasant hassle-free stay. Despite exceptional cold in August, the room was warm and the water piping hot. We received spectacular help from a staff member when trying to organize a day's skking. The breakfast menu ranged from continental to hearty with lots of interesting side options.

We stayed in Alkira Motel recently and were very grateful for the friendly, helpful staff. We checked-in late and when I rang on approach they were so good about us coming at that hour, and even went and checked the heating was on, and offered to turn on the electric blankets so the beds were warm when we arrived. The... More

Great little room I ideal for a single traveller like myself. Location is fine a short walk to Cooma pubs and restaurants. Central Heating is fantastic. Staff always happy to help. Price at $120 is a little higher than than Canberra or Bega. When spending 3 nights a week in motels price is important. Overall Alkira is a regular stay... More

Sign outside says from $90. It was explained to us by the receptionist that this was the per day single senior rate for a person staying a week. The actual double rate was $140. However with a seniors discount we eventually settled on a price of $100. Our room was small, reasonably clean but very dark with little natural light.... More
