We found the Crowne Plaza Coogee Beach to be nice. Its location was perfect: near the beach and many eateries on adjacent streets, and away from the hustle of downtown Sydney. The rooms were recently refurbished, although this consisted mostly of new carpet and fresh paint. The staff was very nice and helpful. Our only issue was the cockroach in... More

We stayed at this hotel twice within a fortnight (three nights each time). It wasn't cheap but it was really well located, close to Coogee Beach with a great view from the balcony, close to an excellent range of eating places and easy to get to the city. Bus stops at the door. Staff were helpful and pleasant. A buffet... More

I am sorry to say that the Coogee Beach Crowne Plaza, in spite of it's execellent location, failed to impress as an international class hotel that they Crowne Plaza would like you to beleive. The rooms were small, the hotel a bit shabby, with dingy carpeting and marred woodwork and walls in the rooms. Cheap bedding made for an unconfortable... More

Great hotel where we spent our last night before leaving Australia (airport is not far) enjoying the beach, hotel's restaurant, room comfort, etc. Everything started well with an excellent welcome. Although I had no reservation, a 2-bed room on the last floor was promptly found for us, and breakfasts got included for free when I showed my Priority Club card... More

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights as part of a trip around Australia, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. We wanted a good hotel close enough to Sydney City Centre to visit each day but offering a beachside location and this hotel ticked all the boxes! The hotel is in a great location, overlooking Coogee Beach. The reception... More

I stayed here for ten days before xmas 2005 and loved it. After a very stressful year Cooge Beach gave me just the relaxation I needed. The room was good, the view was good, the food great and I loved the fact that I could keep the balcony doors open and fall asleep to the sound of the Pacific surf... More

The better rooms in this hotel are the ocean view rooms. It's one of the few well located hotels in Sydney with rooms with two double beds. Try booking a higher floor for a decent view. I booked a pool view room because from what I could see on their website it would also offer ocean views. But I didn't... More

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights over Christmas 2006 as part of our honeymoon. The location is great, just across the road from the beach and a few minutes walk to all the shops and restaurants. We had a nice room in a corner position, with 2 balconies (one very large one, more like a roof terrace) both... More

Disappointed on arrival. Booked through the hotel and they told me that I booked for december not november - even though I had the booking confirmation with me. It was sorted out very quickly but set the tone for the rest of the stay. The place is a typical 'conference hotel', rooms a little shabby, service below standard. We ordered... More

We spent two nights at this property and enjoyed it. The location makes it as it is just across a small street from the beach. Our room was a small suite with a balcony facing the ocean. A bit of caution about these balconies, however. Immediately after checking in early in the evening I opened the sliding door and stepped... More
