The Silver Hills Motel was very basic to say the least. The staff were very helpful but that was the best of it. Ate at the restaurant which was way over priced for the quality of the food. I am sure there would be much better accomodtion in Queenstown than the Silver Hills Motel.

At least the cleaners were doing their job. The resturant is overpriced, waiter never came to us. I had to get his attention. Ordered the wallaby which was undercooked. Waiter and owner blamed the chef but no apology or recompense for the $32 dish. Upon checkout 2 nights later I brought it up again and he blamed the new equipment.... More

We take a lot of pride in our restaurant, so feedback such as yours is of course upsetting to receive...but when it is inaccurate and designed to cause hurt this is outside the ethos that the tripadvisor forum is designed to provide. Whilst I wasn't present at the table the night you dined, your husband paid the account with me... More

We (senior couple) stayed here in September 2014. The manager and staff were very friendly and efficient. The room was comfortable, with efficient heating. The meals in the dining room were good value. We would stay here again.

Fantastic food , very helpful staff , extensive knowledge of area. The rooms were clean , adequate and quiet . Compared to other facilities in Queenstown , the silver hills is head and shoulders above the competition.

Compared to other properties where we paid a similar price to the $115 per room we paid here, the facilities were not as good at Silver Hills. Parking was difficult because staff had used the space allocated for our room. They did shift a car when we requested but we should not have been placed in that position. We had... More

Thanks for your review. Because of your pre-advised immobility issues we allocated you into a ground floor room as close as possible to reception and the restaurant. This room is perhaps on the smallish side but we were conscious to recognise your requests. Upon your arrival, the usual spot outside of your room had been inadvertently taken by a local... More

I need to travel to the West Coast often for work, I have found the Silver Hills to best hotel stay in Queenstown. Other hotels offer accommodation without the service. The management and staff at Silver Hills are friendly and obliging. The meals are delicious and fantastic, they offer a hot breakfast if needed, rooms are clean and tidy value... More

We had the most amazing week at this absolutely fantastic Queenstown property, Silver hills. So good i had to write about it as soon as i got home. We ended up staying a full week to take in most of the sights and experiences the beautiful West Coast of Tasmania has to offer. And Queenstown. What a gem of a... More

We originally arrived here as all better reviewed motels in Queenstown were full. Although the roon was old, it was clean and comfortable although a bit smaller than I would have liked. We had booked this motel through Wotif, but when we wanted one more day, they reduced the price from $111.75 including wotif charges to $99 for the extra... More

Came to Queenstown to do the West Coast Wilderness Railway (which was fantastic) and stayed at Silver Hills Motel for two nights. The Motel was walking distance to the train and main street but still quite. Our room was clean and tidy, spacious and affordable. The resturant is the nicest in town and food was great and a lot of... More
