Large modern room with everything I needed. Staff were friendly. The restaurant is open morning and night and the food is fantastic. Got room service which was prompt and great value. Will definitely stay again.

John Pirie Motor in Australia - Port Pirie - A PLACE TO AVOID Rude reception. Cleaned room for a new guest? March 2014 - After working, late trying to go into bed to sleep. Opening the bed cover..... and surprise! The sheets and pillowcase looked too shriveled. Didn't look fresh at all. Opening the sheet, surpise surprive, plenty of body... More

We stopped here without a booking and enquired about a room. We took the offer of a spa room for $135. We found the check in team very friendly. But the spa bath in our room had a lot of hair, one of the face washers was dirty looking and when my husband wet it he was able wring dirt... More

The motel is a little way from the centre of the Port Pirie so you need to drive to supermarkets etc. although there is a pub within 5 minutes walk. Found the air con (older version) very noisy even on low fan speed. Cleaners need to vacuum the window sills when cleaning to get rid of the dead flies. Would... More

The decor and building style of this motel is clearly from the 70's, having said that it is spotlessly clean, well kept and managed, and the gentleman on reception is pleasant and helpful. The room I occupied did not have much natural light due to the need for curtains on the windows as the room faced the central car park.... More

Our welcome was very cheerful, the room was very spacious, inviting, clean and the beds very comfortable. We loved the paved driveway as this cut down the noise of coming and going cars. The air conditioning worked extremely well. Free wifi was a bonus as well. The pool was very clean although our only criticism would be the grass area... More

We paid $95 for an overnight stay in Port Pirie and got a small but comfortable room at the John Pirie Motor Inn. Booking and check in was easy, we were offered free WiFi but declined due to our short stay. We had a lovely swim in the hotel pool before going out to meet friends. The room was very... More

This motel has obviously been around for many years. It is, however, well maintained. My room was quite spacious with all the usual facilities in good order. It was also very clean. The air conditioning worked well and the bed was comfortable. I was able to park right outside. Food and service in the restaurant were good.

Checked out internet for a room in pt pirie. Having to organise a room at the last minute for work we found rooms available and looked like a good price. When we arrived and checked in we were told the rooms where more expensive by nearly $40 a night. No way are these rooms worth the price we ended up... More
