AKA – Fusion Airlie Sleep quality – 0. Impossible to sleep with thumping music until 5am from the nighclub at the rear in bedroom with no curtains. I had to sleep on the couch and close off the bedroom. No smoke detector in the rooms, I believe they aren’t complying with safety regulations. I could not close or lock the... More

I can vouch for the below review being 100% accurate. Having done plenty of travelling, this place was a let-down. For a group of non-smokers to be accused of "smoking all night" is actually offensive - especially as we politely called to explain we thought there was a mistake and were dismissed. They also charged our credit card without letting... More

Spent 5 nights at the Downtown Airlie in a self contained apartment. Staff were very friendly and unit contained all amenities including cable TV. Ideally positioned in main street and right in the middle of everything you need to enjoy a base for exporing the region and the Whitsunday Islands. Hotel is about to start a major refurb to builing.... More

We booked the 2 bedroom apartment at Downtown Airlie following a boat trip around the Whitsunday Islands. The room was bare bones and had a very institutional feel to it. The furniture and bedding were covered in very questionable stains forcing us to cover our pillows with towels to sleep. Following our visit, I happened to notice that $50 had... More

I am sorry you felt it necessary to write a bad review, I never like to charge for people smoking in the units however the smell of smoke was so strong that I was unable to rent out that room for a week. I understand it was raining that night and perhaps one of your guests spent the night smoking... More

Perhaps leaning towards dated - but very clean, spacious rooms including bathroom, staff are so helpful, and lots of help/guidance with tours/trips and it is 100meters from the centre of all the food and shops so a great location, if you are watching your budget I would recommend these apartments.

We booked accommodation at Downtown Airlie, transfers both ways from Mackay airport and a boat trip on the Whitsundays Adventurer (operated by Explore Whitsundays) through Whitsunday Bookings and the service from start to finish was excellent. I've grown accustomed to the service in Australia, especially where there's a lot of backpackers, to assume you're a bad customer until you prove... More

We found this hotel nice and clean and in a great, central location. It is right opposite the lagoon at Airlie Beach and in the thick of all the shops and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here for 2 nights in August. On the plus side it it situated very centrally. Everywhere can be reached on foot. On the minus side it is right on the main street and right opposite a nightclub which had shouting and singing and loud music until at least 3am!!!. Sleep was non existent. Rooms were ok .... until a... More

We hope you enjoyed your stay in the Whitsundays and apologise that our rooms were not better suited to your needs. We are looking at new ways to ensure that online bookings can specify if they require one of the quieter rooms out the back and will continue to strive for better service, room faclities and facilities. after reading the reviews of others, I thought this would be great value for my money. But...this place was a dump, noisy and the service was not so great. for a young backpacker who is going to go and party all night..maybe a good place to stay. but if you would like to get some sleep and relax in peace... Really good value accomodation in the heart of Airlie Beach. Rooms are very nice and you have everything you need right there. Mike and his wife are very helpful and booked our whitsunday cruise at a much better rate than the others that went on the same trip. We came back and stayed 1 more night after our sail trip!...
