Stayed in the female only room, tuned out to be a self contained cabin with large bathroom facilities. Two shower stalls, separate toilet and sink area. The room was clean. There is spotty wifi that you have to pay for. I did not use the kitchen or laundry facilities, but I did see that you have to lay $10 deposit... More

In the centre of the little town, different from other Nomads, this hostel is really good for backpackers, clean, bathroom in each room, good outdoor pool, good services and friendly reception. Great Location!

Big hostel but poor 1st impression when 'free pick up' from Greyhound didn't transpire. Turns out the driver had gone AWOL when I was there. Pool average only. Not very inspiring. Good atmosphere. Had evening at 'The shed' sausage sizzle with drink only $5 that evening. Stayed in female dorm. Hooks on back of door right at top and being... More

Having stayed in Nomads Noosa my expectations were very low for this hostel so I was pleasantly surprised to find it is actually very good. I stayed in an 8 bed dorm with ensuite which was clean, comfortable and spacious. The kitchen area was good but you had to hire any utensils, cutlery etc from reception which was a little... More

No free Wifi, Reception isn't open before 7am and after 9 pm, many Ants and a Huntsmanspider in our room, dirty sheets on bed! But the location is good. Anyways no recommendation for this hostel. Better go to XBase or Backpackers in the Bay. I only heard good things about those

We were booked to stay at nomads through a travel agent that booked our tour. The place is clean enough and well located with a nice pool however, it is so unorganised and you are just treated as a number. Check in at 7am (when a bus load of people come in) had 1 person so it was an hour... More

We stayed here for 4 nights, we had cockroackes, a fly infestation, people walking into our room having been double booked, made complaints about noisy neigbours, unprofessional staff who assured me that cockroaches are the norm!? not when you are paying for a double private room at hotel prices. Yes it's primarily a backpackers but then why try to cater... More

Hello, Thank you for taking the time during your travels to let us know what you thought of your stay. We of course make sure all our rooms are clean and when you were explained about life in the tropics and all the animals/insects that come with it, that was not us fobbing you off but it is (especially on... Pretty good value, and everything you need is there. It's Airlie so you can't guarantee it will be quiet, or that the younger travllers will fully clean the kitchen when theyre done, but I've gone back here several times when in Airlie. They could use a night guard at the gate as too many locals try to sleep in rooms... More

We stayed here for three nights in there camping site which was a little area of grass which sloped downhill which wasn't ideal for camping. The showers were all in a block and where very basic some of the doors didn't shut properly and not all the lights worked. The reason I gave it three stars is that the location... More

Hello, Thanks for letting us know how your stay went. You are correct about the camp showers and toilets, now that we are one of the busiest hostels in Airlie Beach we are working on upgrading these toilets due to the amount of use they now get. This is something that we are working on and hope they will be... More

Stayed in a six bed female dorm February 2014. When I arrived I had already booked and paid through hostelbookers. I was told that I needed to have a print out of the confirmation which no hostel has ever asked for before. Since I don't have a printer they told me that I needed to email it to them, however...
