We picked this place from the great comments on Trip Advisor and weren't disappointed. We dealt with John, the manager who was excellent, helpful and friendly. As we are locals we got a good discount on the price quoted. Thanks John. We chose a garden room away from any traffic noise as it is right on the beach front. It... More

I recently stayed in Palm Cove for a few days on a trip to Australia from the states. Upon arrival, the manager (John) informed me that due to the impending cyclone (unbeknownst to me), he is moving me to a room inside the hotel, rather than in a garden studio. Highly disappointed in my unfortunate luck, John quickly made several... More

It's hard to beleive the last review regarding the rude staff at this Motel. John and staff could not be more friendly or helpfull for the three nights we stayed. Rooms are super clean ,comfortable and very spacious with large screen tv. Thanks John for making our stay enjoyable and we will be back next year.

OMG hotel staff so rude, saturday afternoon cant get a towel and apparently asking for one is a crime. Rooms smell like sewerage which is perfect for anniversary, oh and when you get moved they will charge you for the move. This was topped each night by some dubious looking men whistling and commenting on my niece's appearance. When I... More

My husband and I stayed around Australia for 2 weeks and our last 2 night of the trip were here at the Sarayi. We arrived late and the owner was very accommodating. He got us in our room with ease. The room was very clean. The back patio was shaded and perfect for hanging our wetsuits and dive gear. The pool... More

I booked a one night getaway on the spur of the moment. With 3 adults I just booked a rollaway bed to keep the costs down but as soon as I told the lovely receptionist that we were locals she upgraded us to a one bedroom apartment, overlooking the beach no less! Room was spacious and clean. This hotel has... More

I recently stayed at the Sarayi hotel located along the beach of Palm Cove and had an excellent experience. Palm Cove is a trendy quite resort town with a long beachfront walk with mangroves and palms between the walk and the beach. The Sarayi is probably less than 100 meters from the ocean. John, the manager was exceptional to work... More

We were looking for a beach getaway in Port Douglas and almost missed overlooked this little gem! Right on the beach with fantastic stand by rates we were delighted with the garden studio rooms. Quiet, clean, comfy and over the road from the beach and surrounded by cafés and restaurants this place is perfect for budget conscious travelers.
