We had a wonderful experience at the Grand Mercure in Palm Cove. No it is not the hippest, resort in the area but it has a lot to recommend it. The place was quiet while we were there, which was fantastic for us. The pool was warm, the staff were friendly and helpful. nothing bad to say about the place, besides maybe a map of the parking layout. In the end we didn't bother finding the right park, just used one of the visitor parks. More

The service was very good and facilities beautiful, close to shops and cafes. Only gripe were that the floors in the living areas were dirty when we arrived as was some of the cooking utensils, wasn't a major concern as we were staying in a self contained unit and cleaning equipment was readiliy available.
