I live in the NT and have often gone to ELQ for holidays. We recently spent a few nights at ELQ and everything was fantastic like always. Although they had just opened for the season the staff were amazing and their excitement about working at ELQ was infectious. The walks, waterholes and scenery was magical. When asked by friends what... More

In February El Questro station accommodation was advertising an early bird special. If you book before end of February stay 3 nights for the price of 2. Fine print on website says that this is subject to availability and they then indicate the dates of this availability. What they don't say is that large chunks of the dates they list... More

Stayed in the bungalow rooms for 5 nights, the rooms were beautiful. The back balcony overlooked a creek, it was lovely sitting at the back in the evening hearing the water bubbling away. Such a special place to stay, Kimberley locals should feel so lucky they have relatively easy access to El Q. El Q was our last destination after... More

We love visiting ELQ, usually several times a year. We stayed in a private bush camp and they are awesome! Was a bit hot at night so on the 3rd one we switched to a room for the aircon, was lovely after 2 nights of sweat!! It was a bit late for camping mid October but was fun. Staff are... More

After our first visit to ElQ several years ago, we knew we had to return. Our second visit did not disappoint. There is so much to do on this property and the natural beauty is awesome. It is a photographer's paradise. Can't speak highly enough about the raw, unspoilt beauty of this place. We had our own 4WD, so could... More

Some of the reviews of El Questro Station don’t take account of its location. This is a REMOTE AREA and one has to accept the limitations. We hope these comments about the bungalows will be useful - particularly for visitors renting a vehicle. 1. The bungalows are superbly located on the Pentecost River. They’re spacious and have aircon. Facilities include... More

El Questro was the first station we stayed at travelling from Kununura, leading us onto The Gibb River Road. The road was bitumen up to the turn off to El Questro, a gravel, dusty dirt road. What was obvious, even then was the speed at which motorists were travelling....ridiculous speeds considering the road conditions! THE CREEK....better than any traffic lights... More

Dear Ruby, Thank you for the thorough review of El Quetsro Wilderness Park. You have made some great recommendations and observations about camping at the park. We would agree that people without children would enjoy the experience even more if they can avoid the school holiday period. It is a great time for families, with a fantastic buzz and range... More

This was the best stay we did in the Kimberly. Very well organized. Very good staff & excellent guides. First class restaurant food. Beautifully designed cabin overlooking a tree lined creek. The gorge trip was excellent value.

Staying at El Questro is a great finish to the Gibb River road trek. The station has both camping and bungalow options. Ask for a bungalow by the river. The staff are well trained and on the whole very friendly, except for the peanuts who delight in telling you not to exceed the speed limit (10kms) or parking in the... More

This is a giant camping ground with about 8 bungalows, but the site is so well laid out you would never know that there were many people around. Apart from one receptionist who didn't understand our British credit card PIN system, and said our card was not authorised (morning's anxiety there!) we found the attitude of all the staff was...
