This was our first night in France on route to Lake Como and we could not have asked for a better start to our holiday. This Chateaux is traditionally wonderful. If you do stay you should request evening dinner and Christine will be a great cook and host. Our daughters loved playing with the friendly dogs and my wife enjoyed... More

We stayed two nights in this wonderful hotel, run by Christine, one of the warmest hostesses ever. She even made us an evening supper of homemade soup with a platter of cheeses and salad, as we arrived fairly late. The chateau is lovely, and each room individually decorated. Be sure to look through the book of photos of the restoration,... More

We stayed here over the French november bank holiday as a family with our son. I must say that I cannot recommend this place more highly. We arrived early but Christine was very helpful and kept our bags until the room was ready. The Chateau is beautifully decorated throughout with real characterful furniture and ornaments. The grounds are wonderful -... More

Chateau La Rametiere provides a well-balanced combination of 19th century style and 21st century luxury. And Christine, the warm and considerate hostess, made us feel at home. We stayed her for two nights before returning home. It's a great base to visit Mont St. Michel and places like Avranches and Granville (by car). Due to our tight schedule we were... More

The Chateau is truly beautiful. The setting in the pretty countryside of Plomb is very peaceful and relaxing. Yet only 10 minutes to any amount of shops, restaurants and 20mins to Mont St Michel. The decor in the Chateau is stunning and every last attention to detail has been met. Although it is grand the homely feeling is mostly due... More

We rented the holiday accommodation, for a family (two adults, two young kids). The area itself is lovely, the food (breakfast and dinner) stunning, the premises of the hotel - well taken care of and lovely. The lord lady - nice, good English and friendly. So, by now - you ask yourself what's not to like? Well, the holiday accommodation... More

I chose this Chateau because of its location to Mont St Michel but also because of the horses they raise. Staying here turned out to be the best night of our trip. Unfortunately Christine, the owner, had been called away and we were greeted by Elisse. Elisse spoke little English and we spoke even less French. We still have no... More

This was the first of 5 chateau that we stayed in - in France. It was a very impressive home, and our room was very nice, it was a bit hard to find, you definitely need the GPS. The owner is very friendly, and although there is a definite them of hunting lodge with the home, a stuffed wild boar... More
