Nickie's Hostel is highly recommendable: Clean house everywhere, well equipped kitchen, lovely roof top with hammocks, nickie's kindness and helpful advices, very nice atmosphere, etc. The stay in Nickie's Hostel allows you get away from the usual tourism atmosphere the mass tourism hotels in samana. A guaranteed good time! My cousin and I stayed at Nicki's for 10 days in May--we decidedly chose this hostel and location based on all the raving reviews written by past guests. I stayed for 3 weeks at Nicki's hostel and I already want to go back. Nicki is extremely helpful and nice, she is a wonderful hostess.
