I thought the service and attention to detail was lovely. The breakfast was delicious. I loved the bungalows, though I thought the bed and pillows were extremely uncomfortable. I did not like the way Annette berated her staff, as it seemed completely at odds with the lovely way she greeted and interacted with her guests. more

We enjoyed the Iguana Hotel. Annette was tremendously helpful, and her breakfasts outstanding. The only downside was the distance from the town - probably 2 km down a long, long dirt road, which made going out to dinner quite an endeavor. Best to hop a ride with the motoconchos to get there. The Iguana Hotel is set back from the beach (about a 2-3 minute walk down a little rutty road). It is quiet, beautiful, and secluded. We'd spent a couple days in Las Terrenas before discovering it.
