Absolute paradise, with ultimate comfort and privacy. The staff makes you feel comfortable and taken care of. The rooms are beautiful. One of those very special places where the surroundings are gorgeous, the accommodations impeccably lovely, the breakfasts superbly prepared, and the owners and staff are warm, welcoming, and helpful. This is PERFECTION!!!

- Great Staff, (Thumbs up for Marcela). - Fantastic food, fantastic drinks (One of the best Mojitos I`ve had in ages) - Picturesque views - Beautiful pool with a great view to the beach. - At last but not least, the House, it`s unreal, like a flashback to the plantation movies. Amazing how the owners pulled off the decoration in... More

My husband and I, along with three other couples (our best friends) were lucky enough to be told about this hidden gem by a local last week. We decided to take an impromptu trip which we organized in 24 hours, with the impeccable help of Marcella and Thomas at The Peninsula House. We were told this was the finest place... More

This place is absolutely perfect. From the setting, to the rooms, to the food but it seems like everything else works for them too- the weather, although fickle, was even majestic. However, it's the staff that will bring you back. They are the sweetest, most genuine, most professional you'll meet. If you're hesitating on whether or not to go to... More

There is not much that I can add to the previous reviews, but I feel it is important to give this place another nod of approval. This truly hidden place is simply wonderful. As a 61 year old woman I travel a lot and spoil myself by staying in very nice places. I do a lot of research before my... More

We spent eight nights at The Peninsula House and would have been happy if it had been eight years. It's more a guest house than a hotel. The landscaping is magnificent, the food spectacular and the rooms large, comfortable and substantial in every way. Elegance, warmth, privacy and intimacy are the qualities that come to mind throughout. In some ways... More

We stayed only one night - immediately upon arrival one notices every last detail no expense has been spared - unlinke other DR accommodations we experienced. - Tip- after we were already in DR we found out you can avoid the 2 hr drive to and from Santo Airport (and it is 2 hours not 1.5 hours like the hotel... This place is simply amazing - given the reviews, we went in with high expectations and unbelievably, they exceeded it in every way. If you can afford it, look no further and if you cannot afford it (yet), save until you can! The views (spectacular), the service (impeccable and yet so gracious) and the food (very good and they are... More

I stayed at The Peninsula House twice -- initially for two nights over the American Thanksgiving holidays in 2011 -- and then returned for a brief honeymoon in the spring of 2013 and again the following December. That, in itself, says how enchanting this hotel is; my now-husband, then-fiancé, and I couldn't imagine a more beautiful place to celebrate. The... More
