My friend and I just stayed for 3 nights at Tankah Inn. It was really special. The rooms are big and comfortable. There is plenty of hot water with good pressure. The AC works great too. The beach is spectacular. There are hardly any people there so it's ultra quiet for those who like to relax. You can go on... More

We stayed over the holidays at Tankah Inn. After visiting with my husband six years ago, this time we took the kids. We had two rooms, Coba and Tulum. It was wonderful to have the open door and separate space. For our last two nights we did have to share one room, but they were wonderful and added a real... More

In the craziness that is the Mexican Riviera is a gem of a bay only a few miles north of Tulum. This is Tankah Bay, also known as Soliman Bay. We read about it in Michel Peisell's marvelous book, The Lost World of Quintana Roo, where the author, in 1957, walked from Xpuha Beach all the way to Belize and... More

We spent a wonderful 4 days at this B&B on the beach at Tankah bay on our first visit to Mexico. The setting is perfect, with waving palms and great view out over the barrier reef. The owner, Willie, did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable. He offered helpful advice regarding sights and amenities in the area. Pancho, the... More

This place was wonderful, just as the other reviews stated. Read through them so you know what to expect. It was really lovely, wonderful breakfast, loudish rooms. To note: I hope the staff gets a paycheck and doesn't just rely on tips. That would be very cheap of the owner, who was not on site while we were there. The... More

We absolutely loved Tankah Inn. We had initially been planning to stay in Tulum beach, but we're SO glad we stayed here instead. Still on the beach, way cheaper, delicious breakfast, and just a really nice and comfortable place. The rooms are spacious and new with AC and plenty of drinking water. The water is beautiful and there is a... More

We just returned from a four day stay (9-13 Dec.). The owner is engaging and funny, the room was very nice (with A/C AND a KING-SIZE BED), the location on the beach can't be beat, and the included breakfast is excellent! You will not regret a stay at the Tankah Inn. Tell 'em Dave and Juanita sent 'ya!!!

We read so many positif reviews about that that place that we were really excited to stay there. But we were a bit disappointed by what we got... and especially by an owner more interested in his "own point of view" and tips given to his employees (does he pay them at all ?) than by the well being of his... We stayed at the Tankah Inn for 3 nights of our July 2011 honeymoon. We had excellent service throughout our stay, Poncho's breakfast was so good it had us getting up quite early! Our room was very nice with an amazing view. The small fridge came in handy too! We really enjoyed the kayaks and the snorkeling in the bay.... More

We stayed in the Tikal room 7 nights, loved the view and the accomodations. Weren't bothered at all by sounds from neighboring room. At least once a day we paddled a kayak out to the reef and went snorkeling. The reef has several types of coral and many, many fish. Willie & the staff were very friendly. Many days we... More
