We were VERY LUCKY to turn up when there was no-one around, one Sunday late afternoon (AND I do mean no-one!). My friend and I parked up and simply walked into the automobile'area' and then wandered around the "shed" full of cars; from a current SLS AMG gull-wing Mercedes to a 1903 steam engined precursors to the Model T Ford... The staff I could find were very helpful and friendly but they were hard to find. The pools needed a clean, we're not heated and full of duck poo. The spa / gym area was not staffed for the entire weekend and even with swipe access to the gym and pool, you could access the female toilets, showers or sauna,... More

The problem with the resort is that it simply isn't what it purports to be. It is, at best, a three star job yet it is advertised (web site) as being a 5 star resort. Luckily by reading TA I was aware to stay well away from rooms near the dinosaurs as I like to turn in early. My room... More

If I could put less stars I actually would. We went into the weekend looking forward to spend it in luxury and bliss, as we were attending a Spiritual Seminar with Dr. Brian Weiss. The seminar was spectacular. ..but we wasted $350 plus per night...not to mention the overrated "extra" charges for a so called ' resort fee' etc. To... More

Just had two nights at Palmers resort with the kids. Unlike the rest of the Sunshine Coast it was deserted and we had the while resort to ourselves. This was highly pleasant in some ways but eerie in others. The grounds were lovely but the pools were all a bit tired. Our unit could have done with a bit of... More

Stayed one night with family took kids to palmasaurus they enjoyed that.Major mossie issue at this place we couldn't step outside without being eaten alive which made things difficult. The staff here were wonderful in particular the concierge staff who were friendly helpful and patient with loads of luggage. The rooms were ok, bathroom seemed to have been upgraded but not... More

There is currently a mosquito problem on the Sunshine Coast particularly around Coolum and a 40km radius. We are in consultation with the Sunshine Coast Council who have begun an aggressive Mosquito Control Program. The SCC team have advised us that the "plague" proportions we have been experiencing are as a result of a one in 5 years "perfect storm"... More

We went for 1 night and noted the following; Cannot stay a full 24 hours checkin at 2pm, checkout at 10am; free internet does not exist, costs at least $12.95; the meals were incredibly overpriced with a 15% surcharge on Easter Saturday; $10 surcharge for room service; the rooms were tired and the air con didn't reach the rooms; the... As per industry standard check in is at 2pm and check out is 10am. We will always endeavour to allow early check in and late check out as requested. Guest WiFi is available in selected areas but not guest rooms as clearly stated on our website. As per industry standard a public holiday surcharge does apply as does a Room... More

After reading other reviews I had extremely low expectations of our upcoming stay at this resort but I was pleasantly surprised! The resort is beautiful with gorgeous grounds, kangaroos ducks and swans everywhere. We stayed in the lakeview rooms which had been modernized and had a great little kitchenette and view of the lake. We didn't stay near the Dino... More

This resort is purely redeemed by the friendly staff. The rooms were dank. Toilet flush was broken, it smelt musky and it was nothing like the pictures of a glossy modern resort that they had advertised. They had some bonuses, like free bike hire and easy access to Coolum beach. Also, their onsite restaurants were an utter rip off. I... More

We just stayed at Palmer Coolum over Easter with mixed emotions. We were happily upgraded to one of the new suites as our original room was next to the ridiculous dinosaur park and all we could hear were dinosaur noises. The amazing grounds are sadly unmaintained and so are most of the buildings. Most of the staff were amazing and... More
