The service at the Bluestone makes up for what the rooms don't quite provide. The rooms are large and beds are comfortable. The location of the hotel means that most rooms are quiet. Tennant Creek doesn't boast a wide selection of hotels or motels and given the similarity between them, it is often a function of price over quality. In... More

We stayed one night on the way down from the top to Alice at Tennant Creek. Based on the reviews we did not expect much. The rooms are old but clean and functional. We stayed at the deluxe room which was very specious for us 3. The friendly service at the reception (Alesha) was great! Thanks again Alesha! The restaurant... More

We recently spent one night here during an outback trip. It was clean and comfortable accommodation, meals were available in house. We dined in and the service was adequate and the food very good. Our one complaint was that the room was really cold...it was winter, and there were no extra blankets available in the room. In fact, it was... More

After travelling all day from Queensland we were quite disappointed and slightly concerned when we arrived. We were followed by people from the street, very interested in what we had in our car. The street itself reminded me of Bagdad with its concrete fortifications. The rooms are adequate, but very tired and run down. Security is a concern.

We stayed overnight a part of a touring group. The hexagonal shaped units are quite spacious and were very comfortable. Food was good,, but the facility is beginning to look tired and in need of renovation.

Stayed for 2 nights last month. Friendly reception, no trouble finding room. Room clean but old, needing serious upgrade. Only one chair in the room. Mine has a double bed and a single bed, leaves not much room to move around. Bed is comfortable but piloows needed changing, past its use by date! Place was quite, not much noise from... More

Bluestone is probably the best in Tennant Creek, but. The room smells of sulphur. cms of dust on fans, grime in bathroom, carpet needs a good clean. restaurant very good, food, staff and service very good.

We booked one of the better rooms. Deluxe - they called it. It was quite unclean, with a long dark hair, belonging to someone else, in the bed. It was quiet enough to get a good sleep apart from the airconditioning sounding like helicopter blades. I have stayed there many times over the years, and very little refurbishment has happened... Overall this motel was good. We were travelling with 2 Adults and 2 kids and the room we had was big enough. It was nice to have table and chairs in the room to be able to sit and eat etc, as many motels do not have this. The pool was clean and refreshing. We stayed in a Deluxe room... More

I stayed twice in the Bluestone Motor Inn during a 48 days transcontinental solo motorcycle tour (1st and 4th April, 2014). For a basic room (low numbers, opposite reception, I paid AUD$130.00 and $125.00 respectively. This rate did not include breakfast. My rooms were of adequate size, clean and had coffee/tea making facilities. For those wanting something better, modern and... More
