Longitude 131 certainly gets 5 out of 5 for location and uninterrupted views (but make sure you request rooms 12 - 15 for those), however staff service is shoddy, and a change of management teams would definitely benefit the hotel. When my husband and I arrived at Ayers Rock airport we had no one to meet us as the porter... more

What an amazing place. The price is outrageous but - somehow - you walk away feeling you've had value for money. The view from our "tent" was sensational - looking directly at Uluru - the food was exquisite and the tours were well constructed (e.g. a sunrise walking tour well away from everyone else). On top of that, the "exclusiveness"... more

The stunning views of Uluru alone make a stay at this hotel an unforgettable experience - but this a place that also scales the heights in service, food, comfort and hospitality. more

We arrived for a three night stay at Longitude 131 in July of 2008. We flew from Sydney which was about a three hour direct flight on Qantas. We were met at the airport by a very pleasant driver in a Toyota Land Cruiser. Transfer from the airport to the hotel was fine and without incident. We arrived in time... more

I agree with other posts that this is a spectacular place to stay. The "tents" are very luxurious & the food great. BUT Table 131 - dinner under the stars – can be a freezing cold experience at this time of year. (June) I think the overnight temperature was as low as 3.5C while we were there. I do not... more

Longitude 131, a Voyagers resort in the Centre overlooking Uluru, is a truly spectacular place to stay - but our stay there was spectacularly disappointing. Why? Well, even though we were there for three nights, they “rotate” the nights that they do Table 131 (the "dining under the stars" experience). That is: on one night dinner is served in the... more

Stayed at Longitude 131 On September/October 2007 and found the setting breathtaking. We were met at the airport and quickly transported to the resort were you are checked in immediately. Upon arriving we were shuttled off on a tour and did not have much time to enjoy the room. About the room; one of the best rooms I have ever... more

We just got back from Ayers Rock, & i must say Longitude 131 is fantastic! It is everything you want and everything you need! First you are welcomed at the airport by a staff member then driven out to the resort, once there you are welcomed into the 'Dunehouse', which is somewhat breathtaking. The rock looks amazing no matter what... more

We absolutely loved Longitude. Yes, It's really, really expensive, but it was worth it! From the moment we were picked up at the airport with a friendly, smiling welcome until we left, we enjoyed it all. Should note that the exorbitant price covers everything - all the food (and whatever you ask the kitchen to make whenever you want it),... more

Longitude 131 has almost everything going for it to justify its extremely high price tag. The fundamental thing that is lacking is service. Please realize the resort is located literally in the middle of nowhere. Accordingly, Voyages has a hard time retaining seasoned high caliber help at the resort. For the price tag, the service should have been better. The... more
