We stayed two nights in Yulara at the Lost Camel, and were pretty pleased with it. We were there in the hot season (January), where prices are less elevated. It was hot, but ok, so don't worry about going there in the summer, its quite all right. Our room was relatively nice and comfortable with a large bathroom, comfortable bed,... more

I had a nice stay at Lost Camel in last March. My room was a corner room, the most spacious! It looked like a mini suite with a sitting chair, a large bathroom and a huge wardrobe. Everything was good, the only down was a so expensive internet connection (as everywhere in Yulara, slow and expensive). The place it's a... more

We stayed 3 nights at the end of June, which was a quiet time of year at the resort, so the pool was being serviced (but you could use the pools at the other hotels at the resort). The room is definitely somewhat small (basically fits a queen size bed with about 2-4 feet of space on the sides of... more

Stayed at the Lost Camel in May for two nights. The room was comfortable and the staff pleasant. We have no complaints. Look on the internet for deals because we paid about $156 US a night. Definitely rent a car for the convenience of setting your own schedule. Uluru is mystical and it is worth taking several walks to experience... more

This place looks nice on arrival.... staff will deal with you when they are finished talking amonst themselves / having a laugh etc. Rooms are disgusting - dark, smelly and so cramped. The hallways leading up are concrete and there was a strong smell of urine and we felt unsafe coming in and out. The bed is tiny and not... more

We were lucky enough to get one of the few rooms in this hotel with a proper separate bathroom, but that was about the only positive thing I can say. The room was dirty, the bedding, carpet and chair were all stained and the blind didn't fit the window correctly and we had to use cushions to block out the... more

My husband and I went to Ayers Rock for 1.5 days in February 2009 as part of our honeymoon trip. We only stayed a night in the Ayers Rock resort complex. Yes, it did suck that the whole complex was owned by one company so there was no "cheap" deal to be found. Every hotel in that complex is pricey... more

I agree completely about the very negative reviews on this hotel and in fact the mafia style running of the whole "Voyage" complex. We also had attitude from the lost camel "manager" Francis Pryer, the pool was disgusting we went to the other hotels to get a clean one, the food in all the resort was below average and ridiculously... more

Incredibly overpriced, but a fine location along with all the other hotels. Our rooms was tiny but functional and clean. It did the job just fine for what it needed. Probably the best choice of all options in town. Would recommend it, simply because there is not a better alternative. more

The Lost Camel Hotel is situated minutes from Uluru national park and the location is excellent. If you want to enjoy this magnificant landmark at different times of the day you have no choice but to stay in one of the many Voyages hotels all situated next to each other. We chose the Lost Camel as really it was the... more
