We camped here for one night in April. The people here were very welcoming and friendly. Great service and lots of good advice for our onward journey south the following morning. We ate in the roadhouse in the evening and the atmosphere was good. The food was also excellent. Toilets are a little dated, but clean and perfectly useable. A... More

We were on 10 - 11 February 2014 in Kulgera Roadhouse and we liked it very well. The manager and his wife received us very friendly. We felt very cared. The bungalow, the room was very nice, it was clean and perfectly fine for us. The food was very good, the service and everything was good. The pool was clean... More

I arrived on Australia Day and was able to check in straight away so staffing levels were good. I had a budget twin room which had air con, from the front I did not think there was a window to the room but there was. Room was basic but was clean and not shabby at all. Bathroom was separate and... More

It was our next overnight stop on the way north and we weren't expecting much from a roadhouse. We were pleasantly surprised; caravan sites were quite good with access to all facilities. The pub was great, wonderful atmosphere and nice meals.

As of August, Kulgera roadhouse is under new management. The directors Reg and Chris have taken on board the comments and are working at rectifying any past and present issues that have arisen. As for fuel more expensive up the road, we have tried to keep things in line and have not noticed more than a few cents variation since... More

If you're looking for a place to stay on Stuart Hwy for one night, this place is just fine. The rooms are simple, but of good size, clean and with good bathroom facilities. Unfortunately no cooking is possible in the rooms, this is because of some pest issues, but the pub is right there with reasonably priced meals considering its... More

We stopped overnight at Kulgera whilst travelling from Coober Pedy to Yulara. Whilst the camp ground and amenities were a little rough and ready the baked meal we had in the bar was outstanding. Unfortunately the fuel at this site was much more expensive than the roadhouse another 80kms up the road. Something to consider if you are making this... More

With little options between Coober pedy and Ayers Rock whilst on the road, Kulgera in summary, would be a place best suited to camp. The supposed deluxe suite for a family, had one the of worst showers I have ever experienced and a continual noise all night long and day due to rain. We never quite worked out what was... More

Stayed overnight on our trip to Alice Springs. Standard motel room ($115) = double and 2 single decent firm mattress beds. Clean sheets. Good shower, toilet, hand basin (but no exhaust fan nor opening window). Fridge, kettle, TV (only 2 channels with bad reception - not even ABC), table and 2 chairs. Paid Wifi available - no mobile coverage. Very... More
