This roadhouse, come pub and camp ground was the best value stop on our two week trip. The camp ground had heaps of space for vans and campers and you could have a fire. The showers were hot and there were good laundry facilities. Most importantly the meals in the pub were tasty and excellent value, the fuel was the... More

We stopped the night in our caravan and decided to eat at the hotel, the tastiest medium rare steak...delicious, while there we were entertained, the service was brilliant and the staff fantastic with lots of outback fun, humor and a night to remember. The owner very hospitable .......if we go this way again it's on our schedule. Thankyou for a... More

Stayed one night on a level powered sight, amenity's are average but considering where it is and for $20 you cant expect much more. The road house staff are pleasant and helpful. We arrived mid afternoon and by evening nearly all the powered sight's were full but there is ample unpowered space.

We only stayed here for one night in our own campervan. As this was just a stop over whilst heading north the bonus for us was the price, $20 per night. Facilities were okay but for the price our expectations were never too high. Great service from all the staff and the food from the bar is really tasty. I... More

2 words - KEEP DRIVING. What a horrible place to stay. I assumed it would be ok after reading reviews, maybe the caravanners are fine but the motel room is gross. Thankfully had my own linen in the car for emergencies because there was no way I was sleeping on theirs. Bathroom was dirty and had steel wool stuffed in... More

Kulgera is on the NT/SA border and does not offer underground accommodation, despite the current images being shown on TripAdvisor. (Hopefully someone will correct this!). This is a very old pub which was recently (Jan 2015) damaged during floods in Central Australia. (Ask the bar staff to show you the photographs). The staff are all very friendly and more than... I'll never forget Kulgera. My car broke down 40 kms south on the Stuart Highway. We catch a ride to the next roadhouse, which was Kulgera. The manager towed our car back here before fixing it (we were stuck here for 3 nights). Thanks again.

This place is a steal at $20 for a powered site for 2 people for one night. Considering we are in the middle of nowhere, Kulgera Roadhouse Camp and Caravan Park does the job for a one night stay. There have been improvements to this Camp and Caravan Park since our last visit in April 2014. The toilet and shower... More

Not the most amazing place, fairly old and simple, but for an overnighter its pretty decent. TV reception doesn't exist in the rooms, but the pub offers reasonable entertainment. You wouldnt spend anymore than a night here while travelling north or south, but it's in the middle of nowhere so its something atleast!

Photo on Trip Advisor was nothing like where we slept! The carpet here was dirtier than a mechanics workshop! One small jug of water, with lots of signs saying " don't drink water & tv reception bad so go to pub" I sat on the bed and cried! How could anyone think this place was fine?? They need to be...
