After checking previous comments, I booked site 55 - which was just perfect. Shame the BBQ did not work, but we had a campervan and cooked our steak in there. Prices of fuel etc are high - but considering how far it is to get there, that is to be expected.

We stayed for three nights in July, we had a great site in the last row along the back fence with views of the Canyon. I would recommend you request these sites when booking. It was a nice quiet caravan park, it was a pity the pool was absolutely freezing, a slight touch of solar heating would make a big... More

We did the canyon the day before we checked in in the afternoon. The sites were fine, we had 3 mobile home sites together & these were close to the amenity blocks. After a long day walking around the canyon, the kids wanted to swim - but the water in the pool was freezing. Surely they could spend about $2K... More

Great caravan park but avoid the Outback BBQ, food is overpriced and poorly cooked. This park has the most amenities blocks we have experienced particularly given the size of the park. Was neat and tidy, sites were a good size. Is remote so a little pricey but met our expectations with the exception of our meal.

The area is beautiful and the flora can only be seen in Central Australia. There are walks that can be taken in many parts of the park itself and do not miss the sunrise and sunset over the mountains. While waiting for the sunset you can meet people from many parts of Australia and world wide. A special part of Australia,which... More

We pre-booked and had no issues on arrival, On reflection rather than two nights we could have stayed only one, we arrived at 2pm and did the Creek walk that afternoon then set up camp and relaxed into the sunset. The sunset area was raised and gave a great view of the Canyon, you need to get their early to... More

We spent two nights at the Kings Canyon resort, on a powered site in the caravan park. The location is awesome, being surrounded with the natural beauty of the area, and only a short drive out to the canyon. Remoteness is often a legitimate excuse for high prices ( in this case $45 a night for a powered site) and... More

We stayed two nights in a caravan in a large site with a great view. The facilities were adequate but limited in number and there was plenty of hot water. The lack of a decent camp kitchen was disappointing, given the relatively high tariff and there were only a few barbecues. Reasonably good meals are available in the restaurant. My... More

A good camp site to base yourself for walks. The Rim walk in particular is well worth it. Amazing views & a well maintained walk. Sunset viewing area at campsite is excellent & a fun place to chat to other visitors. The amenities, however, need a Really good clean on a more regular basis.

This campground was over crowded, with no clearly defined camping spaces. The showers were cold and the facilities in general were dirty. The floor of all bathrooms looked like they had not been mopped in weeks. We may as well have bush camped or made Kings Canyon a day trip from Yulara or Curtin Springs (free campground)
