This motel is your standard motel but given everything I'd read about Katherine it beat my expectations. The room itself was spacious and furnished quite nicely. We stayed in room 22, do not stay in this room, it has ANTS everywhere!!! There was a big trail of them above our bed head and going all the way up the wall to the otherside of the room where the complimentary biscuits were. Hmmmm.. Katherine doesn't have a lot to chose from but this would not be my choice again.. Tired, dirty, basic and bad about sums it up. BBQ by the pool was ok but that's about the only positive thing to say about the Pine Tree !! more

In most respects this is an average mid to lower end motel. Problem is the rooms smell. It's a standard old motel smell, which we think must be some sort of air freshener they put in those ancient air conditioners. Overpowering I almost couldn't breath and I don't have lung problems.
