This was a last minute booking on the recommendation of some brilliant folk we met in Daly Waters. We had originally planned to stay in Katherine and upon arriving into Katherine, I'm so glad we changed our mind. Yes, it's a little bit out of town (25mins) but so worth it. The chalets are spacious, clean and in the perfect... More

Reading TA reviews, we were glad to have chosen Nitmiluk Chalets (instead of staying in Katherine) as the base to enjoy the Katherine Gorge Cruise and explore Nitmiluk National Park. We arrived at the park in the late afternoon on Christmas Day and the reception office was closed and so was the pool bistro, and not a soul was around.... More

Many thanks for your review of the chalets. You were one of the lucky ones who go to cruise the Gorge in a power boat! More

We stayed here for one night in a chalet. We had a lounge, kitchen area and a two bedrooms. The shower was great, the pool was good and the kitchen had all the things you need to make a meal. We had a good nights sleep here before a long drive to Alice springs!

What a wonderful setting! Our chalet was cool and in very smart condition. The only draw back is the distance to the cafe for breakfast. On the days we were there the staff in the cafe were a little disorganised and took a long time to deliver two coffees and two warmed up croissants. Pity really otherwise the review would... More

The cabins are similar to what you expect in most good quality parks. They are self contained, and very clean. Serviced daily. Each bedroom and the lounge area has a separate air con, which was most welcome, they were quiet and very effective. Bathroom is very small, you can't swing a cat in there, but that is fine, as the... More

The powered sites are way over priced, We paid $69 a night, in comparison to $45 in Kakadu. Facilities were pretty grotty. Yes there were loads of high school students, but other campgrounds with the same students managed to clean up after them! Pool was fabulous.

Early morning Gorge tour was delightful. Camp site $46- for small gravel site. Amenities a long way with little lighting along the no path. A rope down the middle of the powered sites very dangerous. Not sure why it was there. Staff good. Food at visitor Centre exorbitant.

We stayed one night in a two bedroom chalet and it was awesome - everything you could need and more. Bedside lights! Clean and well appointed, they were a pleasure to stay in. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The dining area in the visitors centre is outstanding and a perfect place for morning coffee on the balcony. Lovely pool... More

Our first trip to NT and when I saw there was a 30min drive from Katherine to Nitmiluk for the dawn/dinner cruise, I didn't want to drive after dark so booked the Chalets. So glad I did! Yes they are like demountable buildings/cabins but they are very comfortable and nothing beats the location! Check in at the visitor centre was... More

Our journey took 36 hours: drive to our airport, fly to Sydney, connect to Darwin, drive o Nitmiluk. We arrived around 8pm, tired and hungry. We went to the food stand by the pool to get our keys and sadly and pathetically asked if they were still serving food. They first said how the kitchen is closed and the last... More
