We had an unpowered site with no booking. Surrounded by wallabies including one with a joey. Great pool area and kiosk with excellent range of food and drinks. Walk to national park office area and cruise to Katherine gorge - book this especially during school holidays. Toilet area was very good for a camping area.

We stayed in this campground with another couple in a two bedroom chalet and were pleasantly surprised. The chalets are fully self contained, quite small but have everything you need and are very clean. The bedrooms are really small, particularly the second one which sleeps three (double bed and overhead bunk) but quite adequate for a few nights. The campground... More

Booked a two bedroom chalet cabin. This is just brilliant for a family. Use the cabin as a base of operations for day tours. The park is secure with fantastic facilities and is close to a number of attractions, including the gorge. The cabin was clean, well stocked and very comfortable.

The campground was a great surprise. The amenities were fantastic. We stayed in a 2 bedroom chalet which was very clean and had all the mod cons. On the Friday night they had a guy with a guitar for entertainment by the pool which was great. The buffet dinner set up they have is a great idea. True that signage... More

Stayed last year in a chalet, which was immaculate. Superb location but we arrived on the train, we managed to get a lift on the coach but once there you are pretty much marooned if you don't have a vehicle. We enquired about a taxi into town but this is astronomically expensive and we only managed to get to the... More

Arrived late and found the lack of decent signage a real problem- actually the lack of signs an issue throughout our stay. Staff in general were pretty slow and disinterested - (however the cleaning staff were very pleasant!) We stayed in a 2bdr chalet which was very clean and well set out. The kids enjoyed the pool- and the chalets/campground... More

We stayed in the chalets which were spotlessly clean. The camping ground was a mixture of tents, camper vans, bikers.... Everyone was very friendly and got on with what they were doing. Food at the poolside bistro was great. For only $20 you got your main meal choice plus you could have as much veggies and salad as you wanted... More

What a rip off ($36/night/unpowered site in off season) and for no good reason, except that it’s easy access to the national park and the gorge cruises/walking trails. Facilities were clean but nothing spectacular. Lucky the pool was refreshing, big and this is where we spent most of our time!! The trees were filled with bats (which are protected within... More

Used a powered camping site, which seem to all be like car park under foot, the unpowered have grass, not an issue for us in a rooftop tent however may be for others. Clean basic amenities. Lovely pool however closes at 8pm which seems to keep the backpacker crowd away. So a very quiet park, the loudest things here are... More

Recently stayed 3 nights in a Chalet and was sad to leave. As it was the wet season, there were very few other people in the grounds so it was extremely peaceful and serene. The staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful. Remember, it is NT, so service and people are quite laid back. Lunch and dinner were ample, inexpensive and... More
