The rooms are basic but they are all you need and they were cheap compared with others. The complex had a bottle shop, restaurant, garden bar and a coffee club which was very convenient and the Pool was great, also very friendly staff! Have stayed here before and also have recommended people to stay :)

This place has rooms to share for backpackers. It's a nice place, and nice bar/restaurant next door... but... security is very poor. There's a fence at the back that constantly gets jumped by Katherine youth. Things disappear from the dorm rooms even while people are sleeping or in the bathroom! So ALWAYS lock your door, even if you are inside... More

The staff are bright and friendly. I stayed two nights. The first night I could sleep as the music was not as loud and the hotel patrons were reasonable. The second night the music was loud but in the later hours it disintegrated into what I would describe as "base noise". The hotel patrons were very vocal. . The motel... More

Room was ok, remote to TV did not work and walls very thin. I could hear the person in theft room snoring. The bathroom was basic and I could see wood sticking out from under cupboard which was used to level it. I would say that this hotel was basic and would I stay here again, no

We stayed 2 weeks mid august, 2012 found staff to be very pleasant rooms were presentable for budget accommodation beds were comfy location to town & surrounds was good, however the locals were rowdy every night and we could here their rants at all hours but this isn't a motel issue as it was in the streets of town, the... best meals in Katherine by far! Everyone who travels to Katherine should try the Mahogany Bar and Grill. Swimming pool area is very tropical, gives you a real feel for the N.T. Staff were very helpful when deciding what parts to visit. I met some really good people during my stay at The Stuart Hotel.
