We had two nights here and except for a few little problems we enjoyed the lodge and the environment. The lodge was comfortable having twin beds and ensuite facilities. Did have trouble with the hot water but worked out that you had to run it for at least 5 minutes to get the hot water through as the heater was... More

We had two enjoyable nights at the Hawk Dreaming Wilderness Lodge as part of the APT tour of 19 people. Key points: 1) The tent was comfortable with an ensuite & an electric fan. Insect spray & repellent was supplied in each tent 2) Shower facility was better than expected. Our hot water system was very good but some of... More

I stayed here for a few days in mid September. I considered myself very privileged to have experienced the natural and spiritual beauty of this country. I found the camp-style accomodation very appropriate, clean and comfortable. Our hosts Abi and Daniel were excellent, so warm and hospitable. At the end of each long day we were greeted by their smiles... More

We stayed here for one (was supposed to be two but we left early even though we had paid in advance) night in August 2014. The rooms and food were fairly basic which in itself is absolutely fine but they come with a 5* price tag comparable to other tented camps in the area of a much higher quality. In... More

We stayed here for two nights. The Accommodation was amazing when you consider the setting, your in the middle of no where. The food was to a very high standard and so was the service, there was nothing the staff couldn't do for us. I felt privileged to be allowed in to such a unseen area of Kakadu. The rock... More

Just loved this place, our host Mark was willing and able to meet all our expectations, the Accomodation was great, comfortable beds, food was great and very clean amenity. We enjoyed the tour of this very special part of Australia, and would highly recommend this to any prospective visitor. It is a restricted area of Kakadu, and you are made... More

We stayed here as part of a wilderness tour of the Kimberly and Kakadu. We had stayed previously at other wilderness lodges which were all very good. The same cannot be said of the Hawk Dreaming Lodge. It was advertised as a very special place to stay. We would sit round the campfire in the evening and chat with our... More

Hawk Dreaming was a unique experience. Small group, luxury tent with bathroom, great food and an excellent host combined to make our stay memorable. It's understatement felt completely appropriate. It was a privilege to stay in such special country. Katherine and Glenn

hawk Dreaming has a 5 star price tag yet fails to provide an experience to match. Staff did a good job and made the stay comfortable however the camping ground itself is extremely basic with no treats which its competitors provide for less cost. Eg. A small fibreglass spa is classified as the pool. This is not a destination but... More

This was our first overnight stop on our 15 day APT tour. The team at Hawk Dreaming raised the bar for all other wilderness lodges along the way, and not one of them matched Hawk Dreaming. The food was amazing, and I will say specifically that the steaks were cooked perfectly as was the barramundi. Well done! The camp takes... More
