We booked here on the advice of friends. Arrived. The staff were friendly, the apartment was superb for the price and particularly in comparison to other places we stayed in Australia. The food was amazing considering the type of venue and a really good price for somewhere that could have considered guests as trapped tourists. Very highly recommend this place.

This hotel is located in Kakadu National Park and has a fuel stop as well. It is undergoing a refurbishment of rooms, which I was lucky enough to get. There weren't too many people in the hotel when I visited, but all staff were hands on, the restaurant & food were first quality. The pool which is also open to... More

The hotel is in a great location for visiting the Yellow Water area. They have 2 very nice pools. The room was pretty basic and bathroom even more basic but it was clean and comfortable with air conditioning. TV had a good selection of channels for my daughter. No wi-fi is available at the resort. That was difficult for us... More

We enjoyed our stay at the Cooinda Lodge immensely. It is close to the Yellow River and other landmarks and the peaceful and tranquil setting was so relaxing. Our rooms were clean and comfortable, the pool was amazing and staff were very friendly and helpful. The Yellow River cruise was a definite highlight of our trip. The cabins are very... More

Don't forget your bathers! We just dropped in here for lunch on the way to the yellow water cruise, but the pool was so inviting and it was such a hot day that the kids had have a swim! Always take your bathers! The staff were very relaxed and perfectly happy for the kids to jump in.

We were there in the off or quiet season ie the Wet or as the locals sometimes call it the Green season. It is hot and very very humid at this time of year. Staff are reduced to 1/3 of High season. But they are as helpful and friendly as one could hope for. The complex which includes camping and... More

Lovely setting and helpful staff, shame about the frustrations. No internet despite some Cooinda websites, including hand outs at the next door Cultural Centre saying the Lodge definitely had internet. When I asked the staff said oh yes they used to have it but don't now. This place is in the middle of nowhere and not clear about having internet... More

Secluded and remote this place has everything. The tours are great and the lodge rooms are clean and comfortable. Restaurant serves a great meal and lots for kids to do. Not far from Jim Jim Falls and right next to the beautiful Yellow Water. Yellow water offers great fishing and its honestly the best spot to watch the sunset.

There are limited places to stay in Kakadu, and we chose this one so we could go on the early morning Yellow Water cruise. The room is large, with a fridge; nothing special.
