There are limited places to stay in Kakadu, and we chose this one so we could go on the early morning Yellow Water cruise. The room is large, with a fridge; nothing special. The hotel grounds are lovely. We would stay here again just for the cruise, which was a highlight of our trip. Other places are 30 minutes away... More

Was a nice place to stay, rooms were good, the pool was great, especially after a long day, location is lovely, and a great breakfast, rooms were comfortable to stay in, although, should have remembered there was 4 people for the accomadtion, and had the extra bed out, or at least mentioned the other bed was under the single

Good afternoon Thank you for your 4 star rating, I must say our pool is really a very big "hit" all year round in Kakadu. I agree with you, we should have advised you at reception when you were checking in, that the extra bed is located under the single bed. Definitely a point that I will pass onto our... More

The rooms are functional if a bit spartan. The indoor restaurant closed down for the season November 1st leaving the outdoor walk up food service with a limited menu. You just do not have nearby options.

Ok so you are in the middle of no where. Do not expect butler service or anything like that. What you can expect is great service, a tidy room (nothing fancy so don't expect it) but it does have great shower pressure. Also it has the best pool in the area. It actually has 2 pools but the main one... More

Good Morning Matt Thanks for your 4 star review, I always welcome constructive feedback and take on board comments that are made. The reason for asking for a shirt is part of our Liquor License requirement, it just maintains a standard for all patrons. It does seem a little confusing when coming from the pool but not all patrons are... More

Stayed on powered site for 3 nights, as it is the quiet time we were able to pick our own site, lots of grassy and shaded ones to choose from, grounds very tidy, loved to pools (used the small one more as it had more shade over water). Did a sunset cruise which was very nice and then had a... More

Good morning Margaret D Thank you for taking the time to post your very informative review. I do agree with your statement about the toilet block, on doing an inspection round I found the same lack of hygiene and called the offending PA Cleaner back to work to "redo" his work. Please accept my apologises, this is not our usual... More

We stayed in one of the "outback rooms"... as we had been travelling in a van, we were hoping for a night of moderate comfort with air-con. The room was clean enough (had to stay in bunkbeds as no doubles were available), but the air-con did little more than blow cool-ish warm air around. Which as it got a bit... More

Dear Ericaecho Thank you for taking the time to post your review, I have made a note about your comment refereeing to the air conditioning in the Outback Rooms and will get the maintenance department to investigate. I agree a "cold room" in these temperatures is a must.... It is rewarding to know that you enjoyed the Pizza meal deal... More

Big pool where you can cool down till dinner, the dinner was delicious and very generous. I had the lamb shanks with mash on a wine reduction, for dessert i ate a huge platter of yummy rich pudding, vanilla ice cream on pistachio brittle. The room has air conditioner and ceiling fans, the toilet is average, didn't like the sower... More

Situated next to Yellow River in the Kakadu National Park, Cooinda is a pleasant surprise after a long day of driving and exploring. It has camping, backpacking, and motel type accommodation in a tropical setting - with 2 pools, one being a beautiful huge lagoon type pool, complete with waterfall. I stayed in the motel accommodation, which whilst very basic,... More

Rooms are located in quads on the lawn. Rooms are small and have a bath with shower, but are clean, cool and nice windows. The staff on every level was cheerful and helpful. The swimming pools, one for adults and one for all, were outstanding. Restaurant is ourtdoors with picnic tables. All perfectly suited for a National Park stay.

Stayed here for a night during a trip through Kakadu. Definitely the best place that we camped at. Fantastic for camping guests to have access to the same facilities (i.e. pool and eatery) as those staying in the 'hotel' part of the lodge. Would 100% stay here again, great place to relax after a couple of long, hot days of... More

Good morning Dream to Explore Thank you for your very favourable review. October is a great time to travel if you don't mind the heat...definitely less people around so you have more opportunity to explore and have the feeling of "space". I have made note about the distance from the unpowered sites to the toilet block, something that I will... More
