Resort is great after a few days bush camping. 2 swimming pools a spa and a kids playground. Bar was good with the football on one tv and a kids movie on the other. Now for the food. The food was rubbish. Nothing had flavour it seemed nothing was seasoned. How can a wild caught barramundi curry taste like nothing.... More

Cooinda Lodge is in a great location in Kakadu National Park. It is right on the doorstop for the yellow Water cruises and the Cultural Centre, as well as for visiting the fantastic rock art at Nourlangie. Rooms are basic but clean and well-maintained. Kettle, tea and coffee and small fridge are provided. Meals are in the Barra Bistro or... More

Camped here for 2 nights. Good spacious toilet/shower facilities not very clean but more to the messiness of other guests than neglect.(not sure why door lock combination is necessary) 2 pools an advantage as can escape crowds if you prefer. Good sized family pool with lots of areas to swim/chill out. Restaurant serves good tasty food but very expensive! Ate... More

The lodge room was a glorified cabin. I would not have minded if I hadn't paid over 3 times what it was worth. Was clean but dated. No kitchen just a kettle and fridge. No kitchen sink so have to use bathroom sink. The bathroom was dated with shower curtain. Cabin had queen bed which was comfortable but also had... More

This was our first stop on our trip from Darwin to Sydney. We are traveling in a motorhome. The sites are easy to park in. The amenities are clean. I guess the big plus for the park is its accessibility to the Yellow Water Billabong. You also have access to the resort pools, which are much appreciated anytime of the... More

Caravan park with access to all the Lodge facilities. Great chef cooked food in the bistro..easy drive to Jabiru and other Kakadu highlights. Don't miss the Yellow River sunrise or sunset Cruise booked through the Lodge. A magical experience.

First things first Cooinda is a beautiful spot. Fantastic rock pool, a great open air bar that serves cold beer and decent food all on beautiful grounds. I only wished we had paid the extra to book a room at the lodge. The budget outback rooms are more like dongas FIFO workers sleep in on the job. Very small and... More

Stayed in a bunk bed in the budget cabin! Reasonably priced room! We stayed here for 2 nights! We had a shared kitchen with only 1 fridge and it was already packed when we arrived! The pool at the resort was lovely the location was very central in Kakadu! We were on a tight budget and found the restaurant expensive... More

We stayed one night in a cabin. It was pricey and basic but conveniently placed to go on the Yellow River wetlands cruise. The car park is separate from the cabins and we had a difficult walk with our luggage in the heat. A cleaner saw us and arranged with reception for a closer cabin. We had a comfortable stay.

We spent two nights in Cooinda, staying in an Outback Budget Twin (with bunks) "cabin". It was, essentially, a tin shed with bunks, small desk, chair and rubbish bin and rudimentary to say the least, but pretty much what we had expected. Plus they did have a double plug for us to charge our various devices on! The first night,... More
