There's quite a few accommodation options in Jabiru, but the Mercure crocodile hotel is the quality option. Grab a ground-floor room that has a back door opening to the pool and let the kids loose for a swim. There's even a table outside each room where you can sit while watching the pool. The air conditioning and fans are a... More

I have read with interest the most recent reviews and they certainly do not reflect our experience one bit. Our room was clean and comfortable. It took a few minutes for the room to cool down but in the middle of the wet what do people expect? The aircon was smart and responded perfectly to doors being open etc. We... More

I got a free early check-in. I was there in the wet season, so there was hardly anyone there. My room had a musty smell and the floor had not been vacuumed. Overall cleanliness was very average for a four star hotel while paying $160 a night in the off-season. Breakfast buffet was alright and was included in my stay.... More

Dear Vincent C, Thank you for your review. I have presonally followed through with the housekeeping team in relation to your room not being vacuumed. During times of high rainfall we do sometimes experience a damp smell in the hotel. We do have strategies in place to reduce the impact on guest experiences, I am sorry that this had an... More

Have visited here a few times with work and have always enjoyed it. The rooms are tiring although I still love the ochre colours used. Aircon fabulous... Once we figured how to turn the fan speed up! Despite the rain we thoroughly enjoyed the pool as it had been cleaned up dramatically from my previous visit. Reception is only open... More

We stayed here for one night before the Christmas holiday. Good location for exploring Ubirr. The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom could use an upgrade. The concrete exterior does nothing to improve the looks of this hotel. Staff was friendly. They charge for Wi-fi, but the service was not reliable. When we told management this when checking out... Stayed in this hotel for 1 night and it was very scary at night as the corridor was dark with all the weird sound. The food and service was good. Room was clean and spacious and very comfortable. Not recommended for family with small children.

We drove through to Jabiru and were very happy to stay in this very interesting hotel. Interesting design, aboriginal art is on display and the rooms are modern and comfortable. The fascinating design of the structure made it a real talking point. We really liked it

The room was dirty. There were dead bugs everywhere. Light fixtures were missing. The bed spread should be studied in an infectious disease lab. The air conditioner was totally inadequate,it did not cool the room. Management and staff just don't care. The on site restaurant hasn't seen a fresh ingredient since the stone age. Located anyplace other than the middle... More

Dear Rabbit1945, I am sorry to read that your stay was not to your satisfaction. With the hotel being located in a National Park there will be occasions where insects/bugs may get into guest rooms as they are attracted by the lights of the building. The housekeeping team work very hard to ensure that the rooms are presented in the... More

There is not a lot of accommodation options in Kakadu / Jabiru. Perhaps this is why the Mercure Kakadu Crocodile Hotel aspires to be nothing more than average and offers pricing deals to entice people to stay there. As such we can’t complain but we were a little disappointed the hotel didn’t match the wow factor of the surrounding park.... More

Great location in Jabiru, rooms were clean and of good size. Air con kept us cool as did the pool! restaurant is very poor value, carpet is disgusting and definitely understaffed in the kitchen and on the floor. Poor things were literally running all night trying to keep patrons happy- to no avail. It was like watching a comedy skit...meals... More
