Situated in the middle of nowhere, the Crocodile hotel offers a 'swish' foyer and restaurant area in the 'head' of the crocodile with somewhat dated rooms forming the body. Most rooms look onto a small central pool area, which was clean and refreshing after the intense heat of Kakadu travel. Rooms were clean, with new bedding, but had that tropical... More

Booked for us via AATKings as part of the Kakadu 2 day trip, the crocodile hotel was the overnight stay Shaped like a crocodile the only real issue was that the upstairs rooms were a hike up the stairs with luggage. Rooms are dated but very comfortable and clean, the restaurant menu and wine was local and good value. The... More

We stayed for two nights after travelling from Darwin. The rooms were cool and comfortable with a pleasant view over the pool. Dinner and breakfast at the restaurant were both satisfying. This is an ideal location for travelling to Yellow Waters, Ubirr and Jabiru airport. It was great to break up the day by swimming and relaxing at the amusingly... More

After driving from Darwin through a wild monsoonal storm it was nice arriving at a friendly place. We had a little mixup with our room booking that was rectified promptly. Shortly after arrival the power went out due to lightning strikes at the mine power plant, so we actually had to sit in darkness for a while. The double double room... More

The hotel is in a great location in the centre of Kakadu. Our rooms were large, but in need of renovation - everything looked a bit tired. The aircon in our room struggled to cope even after it was 'fixed'. I think we were unlucky as the aircon in our companions' room was fine. The restaurant area is a large... More

The good: In my dealings with this hotel, I received great service from the two blonde ladies at reception who were trying their best to assist - while the lady preparing the rooms did a great job. The bad and the ugly: Unfortunately, my experience of this hotel turned negative after dealing with the extremely rude bald bloke at reception... More

The room was reasonably clean and quite comfortable. However we came in the wet season, meaning that most of the waterholes are closed for swimming. We were hoping to cool down in the hotel pool, only to find it was a very small and uninviting pool. We have seen the pool at the Aurora lodge down the road and it... More

Dear Daniel W, As you have mentioned we do offer a large number of amentities in the rooms, we do have other amenities such as toothbrushes available upon request. Whilst some of the waterholes are closed for swimming at this time of the year, there are some other great attractions in the park to explore during the green season. Best... More

We recently enjoyed a 3 night stay at the Crocodile Hotel which we booked as it looked to be the nicest option when staying in Jabiru. Having read through Trip Advisor reviews before staying I was expecting the worst but was happily surprised by pretty much everything. It’s in a great location for seeing Kakadu and we pretty much had... More

Dear Aljatojo, Great to read you enjoyed your stay. We are currently working through a re-planting program in the gardens whereby we are removing some plants and replanting species that are native to our region. The food and beverage team will be pleased to read your positive comments in relation to the food and service. All the best with your... More
