We were so looking forward to Kakadu, and our stay here. Kakadu was amazing, but the hotel was very poor in many ways, mainly the fact that it needs a considerable amount of refurbishment, lots of areas indoor and out are tatty, the owners need to spend some money. Restaurant is particularly depressing and dull, with very old, outdated furniture.... More

In over 20 years of travelling the world, we have never encountered the exceptional level of customer service we experienced at this resort. From a courtesy call the day before we were due to arrive, to the incredibly friendly and professional check-in and out, we could not fault this aspect of our stay. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful... More

The staff were really friendly and helpful. The bed was comfy and the room clean and tidy. The food was great and the Only down side was a limited menu as there was nowhere else for lunch and dinner close by. The hotel booked the yellow water cruise for us, and this was a highlight of our trip. They have... More

The front area of the hotel is high quality and the front office staff provide a good service but the rest of the hotel is like you are staying at a different property. The guest rooms are musty and run down. The restaurant is awful. Dark and very poor service. One of our group purchased a salad which had obviously... More

Unfortunately; due to the wet season all the other upmarket accommodation in the region was closed so we had to settle for the Mecure. As others have noted the Mercure Kakadu Crocodile hotel is due for a major renovation especially since Kakadu is one of Australia's top attractions. Room - We are platinum Le Club Accor members & were given... More

I have read other reviews of this Hotel and frankly I seem to have had a completely different experience. Our room was excellent, roomy, comfortable, good bedding and excellent furniture. The cost of the Room was about £60 (english) we had a reduction because of visiting with a Darwin resident but the general cost is not a great deal more... More

This hotel is iconic. We've all heard about the croc shaped hotel in Kakadu. The rooms are decent. The pool small, but refreshing. We had a decent, but not fantastic stay. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Not much choice in the area.

Hotel is very tired and in need of major maintenance. Rooms are average. Bathrooms badly need upgrade. Breakfast priced at $27.50 was unfortunately below average. Food was cold. Dinner in restaurant was average.

Stayed here just after New Year, which I appreciate is far from high season, but seemed to have a skeleton staff.....especially in the restaurant. Warm welcome at front desk (from Amy) which is always a massive bonus. Pool area was nicely laid out and clean. The negatives? Room was "tired" and in need of a refurb.....but perfectly functional. The big... More
