We celebrated my husbands 50th birthday in Kakadu last week and stayed in this wonderful hotel in this amazing location. Nice rooms, great beds and good restaurant. The staff were friendly and the rooms were clean and well appointed. If you want to see this amazing National Park in comfort this is the place to stay

After a couple of days at Coolinda Lodge 1/2 hour down the road, we spent a night here in Jabiru. I was not sure what to expect as it looks a little "quirky" on the web--hotel shaped like a croc. Well it really was a croc and it was really cool! This is an upscale Holiday Inn and we totally... More

I was a little confused with the layout of this place initially. Unlike anywhere else we have ever stayed, we had to travel to the opposite end of the building from the road entrance to get to reception which is in the ‘head’ section of the croc. It was very well presented and the reception staff were first rate in... More

The room we had was a good size to accommodate a family. The room itself was clean and recently modernised (although the bathroom hadn't been done at the same time) but outside the patio area there were several bits of rubbish lying around. The pool was nothing fancy, but good to cool down. Buffet breakfast was good value, added on... More

The Crocodile Inn appears to be the only reasonable place to stay in Jabiru. Our room, on the first floor, had mostly new furniture, made of beautiful wood, except for a worn out cabinet which holds the minibar. The first floor rooms have glass doors which open onto the courtyard, but the furniture outside the room was dirty, the entire... More

Overall this hotel is a little bit pricey but there are not many options in the National Park if you don't have a van or a tent. The room we had was a little dark and on the first floor. (There are only two floors - and only stairs. We were asked if we needed assistance with luggage but declined.)... More

We had really looked forward to our stay here. so were a little underwhelmed by the whole experience. The greeting at reception was warm enough; they explained where to park our car at the stairs nearest to our room. No mention was made of a lift - was there one? - so we had to carry our luggage up to... More

This place is a little different. Having come across it as a building site in the 1980's we were keen to stay in the finished hotel. The crocodile shape is a wonderfully unique architectural triumph. The rooms are very comfortable with ours overlooking the swimming pool in the croc's belly. The pillows had sashes on them telling you if they... More

When you are in Kakadu you need to remember there are not a while lot of options for your accommodation if you are not camping. As it is a National Park a fair way from a city, resources are centralised around two main areas Jabiru and Cooinda. The holiday Inn is a but old now, but it was good value... More
