We went to the RIU Palace the middle of May for a week. The moment of walking in, we were welcomed with a mango drink. The staff was excellent, very accommodating! We had asked for champagne or balloons in our room to surprise our daughter for her graduation and had both! The rooms were nice size, 2 double beds with... More

As a travel professional, I am not unreasonable in my expectations of a resort. The RIU Palace was wonderful. The staff were extremely pleasant. The same can be said of most Costa Ricans we met. The rooms were very modern and spacious. We had #4074 with a king bed, ocean view and they brought a very comfy single bed for... More

We just came back from our vacation the only thing we can say is Paradise. From the lobby to our ocean view room to the swimming pool, the beach and the restaurants. They also know how to give a great service especially to Mauricio, Vanessa and Christina thanks for wonderful service. We highly recommend this resort. We will be back!

We always stay at a Riu, whether in Mexico, Dominican or Jamaica; we wanted something new so we tried the palace and was it an amazing choice. The entire area is a very different feel then the usual Caribbean, the area is pretty much the two Rius, and nothing else in sight, so it is very nice and private- unlike... More

Heard so many things about the resort, many bad. I didn't visit that resort, my wife and I were overwhelmed with the Riu experience. Not only were the rooms great, the food was wonderful, and the entire experience made our 30 yr anniversary one we will remember always. We did the mega combo we loves the adventure, don't buy from... More

I just want to thank the Staff at Riu Palace in Costa Rica... The Staff at the Riu was Amazing. They made us feel welcome the moment we entered the lobby. I traveled with a group of 40-guest to celebrate a my friend's 50th Birthday May 15-19, 2014. We had a blast. My room (2052) was located on the first... More

Thank you Jennifer Toren from Tripguy.com for booking our vacation to the Riu. It was a beautiful hotel. Our room was great. We were at the end overlooking the water, hot tub on the balcony. If your looking for white sandy beach, this is not for you. Beach has black sand is hot. But is a nice beach though. Water... More

This was our first trip to Costa Rica and our first say with a Riu Palace Resort. My family has traveled extensively and for those reason I think we are knowledgeable on what resorts should provide and what to expect. Compared to most places we stay the service at the Riu was less than stellar but the cleanliness and food... More

This was our 1st visit to Costa Rica and we are so glad we chose the Riu Palace. The staff was great, the hotel was new and well maintained, a great all inclusive resort! (Yes- bar in the room-restocked) We chose the Riu because of all the offerings as a full service all inclusive. We did get an opportunity to... More

Currently on day three of our yearly beach vacation. We read the reviews on this hotel, checked out the pics, and decided to still book as some reviews seemed a bit harsh. I normally don't review hotels badly, but this vacation warranted a review. I'm not saying it is a bad place to stay, but it depends on what you... More
