As a travel agent (jane(at)worldtravelspecialists(dot)biz), I am fortunate enough to travel a lot. I had never been to Costa Rica and had never stayed in a RIU resort before. I had sent many clients and they all came back raving; so when I had the opportunity I grabbed it! I can honestly say that this resort surpassed any expectations I... More

The Riu Palace is very aesthetically appealing. It shares property with the Riu Guanacaste. I believe that you are able to participate in activities at both properties but we did not. The beach area is not the nicest. We were kind of disappointed. We opted to use the pool area instead. This area has several pools and never felt like... More

Long review because we were there for a LONG time: This hotel was kind of hit and miss for me for several reasons - I have stayed in all inclusive resorts in other areas (i.e. Cancun) and it was a very different experience. RESORT: it is beautiful and genuinely does feel like a palace. We stayed there for 2 weeks... More

Great staff, great food, great vibe. Costa Ricans are very friendly and sociable. You feel right at home at this resort. I've been to a few all inclusive resorts and I am extremely pleased with this one. Buffet style food better than average. Great entertainment, drinks and customer service. I recommend this resort to couples, groups and the resort next... More

We just spent four days at Riu Palace in Guanacaste, Costa Rica. Property: Nice, four stars. Large, modern, beautiful fountains and pool area. Room is large, clean, big bathroom, room refrigerator with beer, coke, water and other soft drinks. Refrigerator was on but did not cool the drinks. Warm beer or coke is not my thing. Odd bath tub smack... More

Thoroughly enjoyed this hotel! Beautiful! Clean! Fabulous food! We have been to many other resorts in Cuba,Dominican Republic and Mexico and this rates highly! Downside is the beach. It could use a few umbrellas although the beach is dark sand if you went further down the beach towards the Monky Bar the sand inthe water did not have as many... More

I stayed at the Rui Palace in June. I was in Costa Rica to celebrate a friend’s birthday (we were a party of 16). All inclusive is always the best choice when dealing with larger parties. Three years prior, I stayed at the Rui Guanacaste, the sister property next door and I enjoyed that property. The Rui Palace was under... More
