Stayed for 3 nights here and was in the Orient room which had a Queen size bed and a single in the front area of the room. The bathroom was small but for two people we made it work. No wash cloths were provided nor available so lucky I had packed a loofa. The bed was firm but comfortable and... More

Booked this little "home vibe" hotel for my friends who were visiting us. It is in one of the best locations, very short distance to all the great cafe and restaurants in Remuera. Although, the hotel is not proving breakfast at the moment as they doing upgrades but who cares, when you have all the great options just mins walk... More

The rooms were a little small but they were clean and in a great setting - A refurbished grand character home on the main road of Remuera. It proved to be great value for money because of its location. My wife and I as we were attending a 2-day function at the Ellerslie Events Centre, which is situated less than... More

The hotel building is nice and all photos reflect its charm. We believe this hotel had its better days when was managed by people who really cared about their guests. But now it seems having a new owners and it is far from what one expect from a “boutique” hotel. There was no one at reception in mid- afternoon. After... More

I read the reviews for this place and I was slightly hesitant but I must say, I was quite pleasantly surprised - I travel all the time and stay in many hotels - I hate US hotels - they make you pay so many hefty fees, charges and are so unfriendly - large rooms with no character - but maybe... So I would not call this a boutique hotel per sae; it is basically an old converted Victorian style house that has since changed it's bedrooms into hotel rooms. It even has a shared lounge for people to use downstairs. A kind of quirky set up but it was pleasant enough. My family and I stayed here for 2 nights... More

This is by no means a "botique hotel" more an upmarket back packers or lodge. On arriving I went to my room which had the smallest bathroom I have ever seen - looked like it had previously been a wardrobe and no bath as promissed when I called a few days earlier. I went down to reception the younger women... More

We spent our last night in Auckland here. The price was good, about $90 US for the night. The hotel was a quaint old house. No AC in the room so had to leave the window open. The mattress was pretty old and not super comfortable. We didn't interact with the staff much since we got in late and left... More

Stayed one night with my wife as a trave break from a visit to Northland. Easy to find from Southern Motorway and very convenient to get around Auckland. Very nicely presented genteel homestead from a previous era that has been tastefully and sensitively renovated fo provide a number of good sized bedrooms. Reading room lounge with enclosed verandah for receptions.... More
