Very happy with our stay, room is small but perfect for a short stay. Bathroom recently renovated, very nice. Manager was friendly. Pool was clean. Would stay again. Four Square, cafes, Hell Pizza only a 10 minute walk away. Wifi not free which is the only downside but is available for a fee.

We spent a week here as a base from which to tour the area. This motel is very clean and comfortable and nothing is too much trouble for the proprietors. The room had all that we needed. We travelled with two children and found the motel location perfect for what we did. Parking is outside of your door. A Wi-Fi... More

This motel was clean and tidy - an ordinary old type of motel. It had all we want. Hate it when you get given the milk and keys from behind the desk and directed to the place to park. How difficult is it to walk over (10 meters) and be a bit chatty and welcoming. Also no excuse for torn... More

Thank you for your recent review. We apologise for the wripped net curtain. The previous night's guests were most apologetic for the damage but we were unable to get it replaced before you checked in. It is now replaced along with the curtains in that room as well. We take on board your comments about showing you the room. We... More

I know I rang rather late, which I apologised for, but I needed to find last minute accommodation for a work crew who had just come off a remote site and this was one of the few motels that still indicated rooms available in the Hawke's Bay area. The male manager replied, "we're closed" and slammed the phone down on... More

My recollection of the conversation is slightly different. I did explain that we don’t offer a 24 hour reception service and that we are not always able to offer a late night check in, I certainly did not hang up on you. More

We stayed 2 nights recently. The motel, although of the older style had been well renovated with good bathroom & toilet facilities. It was a spacious 2 bedroom unit with roomy parking. Everything was spotlessly clean and well appointed. The complementary teas, coffees & biscuits were good quality, The owners were friendly and helpful-everything was supplied with a smile. A... I stayed in a small studio room. Was very impressed with the room. Very small but suited my needs. Had the usual tea and coffee supplies. Very clean, good shower, and the bed and pillows were comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

I stayed here for 4 nights in October. The room was small but adequate and very comfortable. Spotlessly clean. Everything is one one level so suitable for all people. Parking outside room. Crockery is provided, usual tea and coffee, but an added bonus of plunger coffee included. Very central to Hastings either walking or by car. I would have no... More

Motel comfortable, very clean and well laid out. Proprietor went out of his way to provide useful information and extra assistance. Good swimming pool and access to local gym available. Good parking. Nice park for a walk across the road.

I stayed here once for a weekend. Yes it was noisy but to be fair I was warned before booking. Room was adequate and a good price. However, not worth the sleepless nights, literally felt like trucks were driving through the wall. Highly recommended paying extra for a rear unit.

We found this motel to be excellent value for money. We had a friendly welcome and found the room to be spotlessly clean and well equipped for our needs. We had booked in for one night but decided to stay for another. We would stay again.
